So I had the strangest dream today where I was at my local warhammer store & on a screen they had on the wall there was a video of Peter Hitchener playing where he was reading Rules & Lore excerpts from the new Space Marine codex

Saint Ocean @saintocean.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Well now that Assault Horizon is done It's time to go through peak storytelling in the Ace Combat series

000

Saint Ocean @saintocean.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

For my more comprehensive thoughts on Ace Combat Assault Horizon that can't fit into a single tweet these are my thoughts I sent to a friend last night just before the final mission set

100

Saint Ocean @saintocean.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

Did Assault Horizon always have Idolmasters skins? I know they were a thing in 6 but I can't remember them here & I feel i would remember slapping the weeb skin on in the America fuck yeah game

Add one to the Yuri Lowenthal counter Off the top of my head he's like 3 or 4 ace combat games

010

Saint Ocean @saintocean.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

I guess im just playing the entire series to avoid playing Fire Emblem at this point haha

Saint Ocean @saintocean.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

9 games that shaped me trend Besides the outliers like Bladestorm Ace Combat & Halo I get most of my gaming tastes from my Grandmother & what she used to play

I was actually kinda interested in giving that modern day Dissidia game ago Welp that ain't happing & Square wonders why it can't keep a mobile game running

000

Saint Ocean @saintocean.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

You know I've never actually played Ace Combat 4 before Let's fix that because Erusea deserves more pain

010

Saint Ocean @saintocean.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

I reached the levels in Ace Combat 7 where you have to ID the targets before shooting

Saint Ocean @saintocean.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

I'd be lying if I said part of the reason I want the remake of Trails in the Sky 3rd so bad is because of Castle of Illusions ost in Phantasmagoria This might be my all-time favourite JRPG dungeon track & you know it's a banger when it overrides the Battle theme when fighting

I got to play for 3 maybe 4ish hours today i got to play a mighty 1 story map battle that lasted maybe 20 minutes Am I just misremembering Awakening at this point? Was Fire Emblem always this content to waste the players' time with this needless Persona-esque social faff

010

Saint Ocean @saintocean.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

I've ordered Ace Combat 8 i knew it was running UE5 so it was gonna be a crapshoot if it would play nice with my PC but looking at this im not sure im gonna be able to run it even somewhat right Holy shit

My game with @serpderp.bsky.social just passed 50 views making it my best 40k game in a while I know in the current settings a view is worthless but im happy enough with its performance I refuse to look at my analytics page tho i enjoy my system & don't wanna be miserable

Busy day so I'm only just getting to start Fire Emblem now Running under the assumption there's no Romance I'm going with Female Eshmale for my avatar

000

Saint Ocean @saintocean.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

I finished Trigun Stargaze with @serpimations the other day Its fine & gives an ending to the reboot The first season felt a lot more tighter tho & was much more enjoyable Stargaze also had a few more changes that really irked me compared to a single one from the first season

100

Saint Ocean @saintocean.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

My main worry with Fire Emblem is how much it's gonna make me faff about between the battle maps I like 3H, and I tolerate Engage but i dont want to have to do side shit for almost 2 hours again between main story maps again & that turn counter aint inspiring much confidence

God doing dailies at night is a pain, least when I get Red Mage to level 100 I won't have to bother anymore. I already paid off a Gil debt I owe from it for some Gposes so now a nice Lalafel with a tyre iron won't have to pay me a vist & break my kneecaps

The fact that a group of people even once considered me for high-level raiding in Final Fantasy 14 is amazing because my god the amount im struggling with even basic mechanics in normal dungeons is amazing

000

Saint Ocean @saintocean.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

I know it's not gonna come through in a picture but on a whim while getting it ready I put FF14 on the big tv in my setup instead of the monitor below Holy hell I never noticed how beautiful this game can be
