SPONERS AND BONERS ONE AND ALL!!! COME EATTTT SPONERS AND BONERRRRS!!!! LOOK AT WHAT I FOUND!!!!! Too many fics mischaracterize both Bones himself and his relationship with Spock, he loves him!! They’re just catty old queens!!! An old married couple!! Bones cares so much!! #spones #bonesmccoy

A very handsome picture of Dr. Bones McCoy (or Mr. DeForest Kelley in the TOS costume) is “clipped” to a file with his name on it which reads, “McCoy, Dr. Leonard”.

There’s a description from DeForest Kelly mentioning his thoughts on his character that reads, “I’ve always had the impression that Dr. McCoy was a lot older and had already done the family thing, but he was everybody’s daddy. Spock and the doctor were always arguing. They loved each other, thiugh. When they would sort of shoot fire, and Kirk would sit there in the middle bemused—that was classic! One of the motet endearing things about the original series, is that rapport the two characters had. It was so touching how Spock and McCoy would get on each other’s nerves, would yell at each other, threaten each other and get along anyway. It was a healthy family.”
