So, I've got to admit - the "new" (or rather "renewed") 800xl from @atari.com actually looks great!

Shannon “Saint” Lewis @saintlewismusic.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Started SYSTEM SHOCK 2 Remaster from @atari.com et al., and this game IS NOT a cute, simple, little game! Lord, help me! The learning curve on it is steep, but if it's anything like part 1, it'll be worth it.

We lost one of my favorite bassists. He played with both Set on Edge & Saint Lewis as a guest live & in the studio more than once, & I served along-side him at St. Simons Community Church. A great man, & a great bassist. Will miss you, Gary... www.brunswickmemorialpark.com/obituaries/g...

Well, as a MASSIVE PACMAN FAN, and a fan of Metriodvanias, and very sad to say that SHADOW LABYRINTH is just not very fun. I've given it a few days, and I'm just not interested. I had hope that there was more to it, but "meh."

@atari.com So, I was really and truly, very, VERY excited about Fatal Run 2089... I somehow missed out on the 2600 and 7800 Fatal Run as a kid, so I didn't discover the game until the release of the Atari 50 collection - I fell in LOVE with the games! Any update on the console release?

Sat down with @thunderfulgames.bsky.social / @atari.com 's solid PLANET OF LANA II again last night & made serious progress. It's not my fav of all-time, but the art/design is WOW, & the story-telling is excellent! It looks as though this sort of game is called a "Cinematic Puzzle-Platformer"?

Wrapped up BIOSHOCK INFINITE this AM, & I'm torn. I only played it because of it's connection to the SYSTEM SHOCK series, & the whole BIOSHOCK trilogy had been on super-sale some while back. Generally beautiful visuals, & great story-telling, but unlike SYSTEM SHOCK, far too linear to be immersive.

BUBSY 4D is by no means by GotY, BUT I am so thankful it was made/released. Because it is genuinely fun. I never sit down to play at a level and feel like I wasted my time. It's quirky, & sometimes imperfect, but it combined just the right amount of challenge to some genuine fun 3d platforming.

So, there was a sale on that Metroidvania take on PacMan called SHADOW LABRYNTH so I bit. It’s okay. Definitely not my favorite PAC-game, nor a fav Metroidvania. Honestly, since the update, I’m just in love with ADVENTURE OF SAMSARA! Not sure how long SADOW LABRYNTH can keep my attention.

Shannon “Saint” Lewis @saintlewismusic.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

Needed to decompress a bit, so I picked BUBSY 4D by @atari.com/@fabraz.bsky.social back up tonight, & - as happens - some of the combos just came more naturally to me after some rest & I cleared a few more levels. Almost finished with world 3, then... BLACK HOLE! What a ridiculously satisfying game!

I know I'm releasing the best song I've ever penned (don't worry - I'm not bragging on myself - it's amazing because I had the greatest co-writers on Earth), and I AM EXCITED, but honestly, I'm even MORE EXCITED about this! MORE BUBSY! Thank you @fabraz.bsky.social & @atari.com! This is good news!

James 3:1 (CSB); "Not many should become teachers, my brothers, because you know that we will receive a stricter judgment." Be cautious when telling others "the Bible says" unless you can back it up with the Bible actually saying it. God takes that seriously.

For 20+ years I have re-read the Bible annually, with different translations, currently in the NET. I use the ESV & CSB primarily when teaching, but I refer to Wright's KINGDOM NEW TESTAMENT & Goldingay's THE FIRST TESTAMENT to check for alternates. What is your favorite Bible translation currenty?

BIOSHOCK 2 note: don't play it on "normal." "Normal" in't "normal." "Hard" mode is obviously a joke. I've been stuck in the same spot for a week, and I'll die 30 times in a 15 minutes attempt to move the game forward. Ugh!

So, here's the deal... I'm stuck in SYSTEM SHOCK REMAKE due to losing the platique, so I've taken a break & started it's unofficial (but honestly, official enough) successor, BIOSHOCK I. I like it, but... it's not SS. I miss the open world feel. Anyone else? I mean, it's engaging, but still...

Just played @atari.com's excellent MISSILE COMMAND RECHARGED with my 8 year old daughter, and MAN... that game is SO FREAKIN' INTENSE. She wanted to know how you won... hahaha. I got to introduce her to the concept of nuclear war, and that "no one wins." What a brutal commentary, but a GREAT game!

If you have any doubt about it, WIZORDUM by @apogeeent.com/@atari.com starts off fairly easy, but it DOES get challenging. It's got 21 main levels + 3 secret levels, & I'm essentially on level 9 & at this point I can't IMAGINE making it to 21. Whoa!
