It took my brain several tries to grab onto the 1st book and pay attention, but the second it finally did, I restarted & it really held my attention. I thoroughly enjoyed it, esp. the narrative of character growth! 💜🧠♾️ The Imposition of Unnecessary Obstacles is in my ears right this moment. 🎧📖

Don't tell my baby 🐻 but here's a preview of what I picked up at @powells.bsky.social for her birthday in a month! 📖🎁 This Nancy Drew book even feels like the ones I held as a kid! Although this one's a new copy. 🥰💜

Getting 48 hrs of @stephenking.bsky.social's The Stand for 1 audiobook credit on @libro.fm feels like theft 🎧📖 I'm 32 hrs into my library copy on a road trip & I've been waiting for my Libro credits to drop so I can listen while swimming on MP3 🏊‍♂️ Next I restart The End Of The World As We Know It

And now I'm so so so going to zone out to these books while swimming for physical therapy this month! Wish me luck with it not being too cold to swim if you actually read this far!

I could drive back and forth over the Astoria-Megler bridge all day. It's gorgeous up there!!!! 😍💜

OMMFG! I want to live here. This heated pool is amazing!!! 💜🏊‍♂️🌡️ In fact, it might take some convincing to get me to be willing to live anywhere else. This pool is now my home.

Help? Why would a local bookstore (that's literally got multicultural in the name) tell me to order this book from Amazon and then not reply to me again? What am I missing? This feels like every social interaction that's ever gone wrong, but I have no clue why. ♾️😰

Two emails, both dated September 3, the first from Carol at the bookstore. In response to a question I'd sent, asking to pre-order a book, and whether I needed to come in for that. The email says:

Group dates ♾️ would never have the problem of leftover nachos, which as a single person I'm just hoping will revive ok in my air fryer tomorrow. They're SO FUCKING GOOD! And I ate enough, but even this is only tempting for a few bites. Probably low iron, which this will help fix, though.

Gourmet Nachos from Nacho Daddy, a small chain originating (I think) in Las Vegas. There are lightly grilled fresh veggies that held crunch, as did the chips, for the 20 minute drive! This is the fajitas version, which is made with filet mignon. It's in a triangle shaped cardboard box, and there's a, uh, fuck ton of food.

This is my favorite listen to The Time Traveler's Wife, by Audrey Niffenegger. 📖 I was having lots of cognitive trouble, and would often have to relisten to things MANY times to retain understanding of it. This book (and the show) really kept me lost about what happened when! 😵‍💫

Starting an anthology of South Asian Tales, Magic Has No Borders, today. I went looking through recent books for more from the authors, and this one looks perfect! 📖
