Nevermind it's not a one sided typhoon they're both up to some bullshit

While I'm very glad the cat that didn't really come out from under the bed at all in the first day is playing and feels comfortable being out in the room while we're in it, I do have work in the morning and he is, it must be said, *absolutely fucking raging*

130

We def have some somewhere, especially bc Nicole has been using more like. Scrunchy style hair ties so as to not tangle their shit irredeemably

We've discovered something he likes more than paper straw wrapper Twist tie

7.5 hour drive with two cats that just got yoinked out of the cafe they lived in for 7 months+ in 100° heat was an adventure- Jiji basically just sulked in his character but Haro hates being in a carrier and was crying like a baby for 1.5 hours, I let him out onto my lap and he chilled out instantly

Literally he walked up to me when we first went to the cafe in July, I looked at him for 0.2s, made eye contact with my partner, and mouthed "oh fuck"

Oh hard same. I had a checklist of ideal characteristics in the cat(s) I wanted to adopt, and Haro immediately hit every single one and more, then we saw how well he and Jiji played (they're brothers if you can't tell) we knew they had to come together

We met them when we were in LA in July and visited the cafe and got absolutely one shot by how precious they are. Had to wait a bit for Haro to finish his FIP treatment, but that's behind us now. When we walked back in with the carriers, both of them walked up to us IMMEDIATELY and I almost cried

000

Was I planning to adopt here in SF? Yes. Did we end up adopting from a cafe in LA? Yes. Can you, in good faith, look at these fucking goobers and tell me you would have done differently? Absolutely not.

Entering my cat owner era with Haro (🩶) and Jiji (🖤)

Of all the money we spent on toys for the cats we brought home yesterday, none have brought as much joy to one of them as the humble paper straw wrapper

Genuinely ridiculous - playing it on my big TV in 4K is such a feast for the eyes

And like, I don't necessarily love One Pace - I think it comes from a good place, but a lot of what I love about anime adaptations is where they can expand on the manga - my dress-up darling is unironically a goated example of this

Den @saintcetacean.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

And also gives away a bit too much too soon.

Den @saintcetacean.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

I would love a One Pace style project that cuts together the beginning of 03 into Brotherhood to create a more fully realized manga-faithful adaptation, because while the brotherhood beginning is good, and I will defend that, it definitely presupposes a familiarity with the manga + 03

Iirc the manufacturers no longer sell them and doctors won't administer them, so it's aging and degrading supplies of medicine administered by Whoever The Fuck — so yeah it's only going to get worse for sure

Den @saintcetacean.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Of COURSE the fucking weekend I go to socal it's a hundred sharting degrees OF COURSE. Foolishness.

Den @saintcetacean.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

I see a lot of (techie transplants) complaining on the other site about being unable to distinguish seasonality in SF and it's the biggest self report of all time that they simply don't pay attention to the environment around them

Den @saintcetacean.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

I have such an unreal love-hate with marksmans spite - doesn't penetrate guard (even at half damage), if the target dies during your GOOFY long windup, you don't get any LB gauge refund, etc But when it hits? 🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌

Den @saintcetacean.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

Good argument, however I have pressed guard like the pvp chud that I am and now the LB is wasted

Eh, glasses can easily and explainably have defects like that. I think this is all super moot compared to the BA being sketchy

000

It is very funny that the whole raison d'etre for this hack is so that in-game North is the same as IRL North

I think part of it is that houses always have to face relative South, which can make things look a little wonky. I imagine they also didn't want to mess with scripting, so they needed the same relative path for Mr Briney to his boat?

Honestly the size of the glass is more suspicious to me, but not out of the realm of plausibility

You mean the gap at the bottom? Glass molding issue is as likely as A, more likely than B

Hard agree there - though I know there were multiple other unannounced products indev that got shelved

The streets want to know which tequila it was

What if they released OG Naruto and everything was the same except Guy-sensei's English VA was Patrick Warburton

If you want to *read* gundam manga, of which there isn't a ton (compared to anime) (and the quality can vary drastically), yes, this is arguably the best one to start with.

Best rum Ive had recently is Habitation Velier's Renegade Distillery white rum from Grenada. Absolutely fucking bonkers aromatics

Have you had Privateer Queens Share? That's my favorite in that lineup

People still rag on IPA like it's 2013 and it's honestly so funny.

There is some extent where I feel like YAS kinda does this? If Aleks basically just purged any credit to Noff et al and said "yeah this is compatible with other skeletons I won't mention but it's my thing" then it doesn't give those fuckers any attention, downloads, etc

040

SacAnime had the usual hot dogs tenders etc inside the hall, but food trucks outside seemed a lil more interesting. Fanime SJ had some more street fair style food. Solid lil taiyaki booth, boba booth, etc Still had options for The Usual Suspects but also some more interesting options

Forgot about that aspect. Infuriating.

Ahh right forgot about that, that *is* annoying. At least it doesn't give him attention or downloads, but would be nice for a scratch built skeleton that isn't associated with him

130

Maybe an area diff, but I don't see many of those? Mostly vespa style *motorscooters* or emopeds here in SF There is one guy somewhere near me that bolted a lawnmower engine to a conventional bike and that thing is ANNOYING

000

Tbf when's the last time you saw an actual moped that wasn't one of those HMP "ebikes" 😭

100

Again, I can't directly corroborate the latter allegation, but someone I do trust to not bullshit about that kind of thing has alluded to it, so take that with a grain of salt please YAB/YAS dev seems fine? Hes high profile enough that if he were a shitter we'd know by now. Tre dev is chill af

Dev was caught ripping meshes from YAB + Tre when Aleks developed YAS and Teef opted to move Tre 5 to YAS from Skelomae. Plus was an ass about it. I remember also seeing rumblings of, at best, dismissive/outdated views towards trans folks, but I don't have screens of that so Im not gonna double down

100

Pretty sure the YAB skeleton has kinda become the new normal - not sure how TBSE derivs have adopted it but I think a lot of Bibo and YAB derivs (I personally use Tre) have

130

Last album flopped hard so he's getting desperate

Altruism and sharing are fundamental psychological and biological forces and I'll go to war over this hill!

Watching a 40 year old millionaire and [insert meetthegrahams.mp3] make the fucking 🥺👉👈 face sent me into a blind, Cossack-like rage that would have brought pride to my ancestors
