10 years ago Love Live was a juggernaut of the Anime Girl Multimedia Project enterprise and Bandori was a struggling upstart that had to beg people to buy merch. Now the former is rudderless and adrift while the latter is a titan that keeps pushing forward. Fascinating to see how it happened.

So Fan Expo's parent company Informa has acquired Clarion, the parent company of LeftMedia (known for AnimeNYC as well as Rose City Comic Con). So that'll be like Anime Impulse & D23 using the same building? What gives, they acquired WizardWorld YEARS AGO. 🤨 www.comicsbeat.com/informa-buys...

Informa buys Clarion Events, home of Anime NYC, Awesome Con and more

The #1 event company, Informa, has just acquired the #3 event company, Clarion, in a $2.8 billion deal that include a number of fan events

¹ I know it'd be up to Universal to bring it back to Hollywood, I thought I gave up my hopes and dreams since the news of the SM 4D show returns to Uni Japan. But looking at the dates, seems a fair chance as FFN usually occurs mid April until May. However, I don't want to get my hopes up for this.

My only takes for the upcoming 35th anniversary: • Bring SM back to Uni Fan Fest Nights next year.¹ • If Toonami brings this back on TV,THEY BETTER START WITH R AND NOT REPEAT THE 1st SEASON TWICE. • And CAN WE GET ANY OVERSEAS SM MUSEUM INFO?! I AIN'T TRAVELING TO SF, NYC, OR EAST COAST!!!

another month passes, another month of delay added to the LAX APM opening. This puts it past project default. Will LAWA fire LINX when that happens? Let's hope. It probably won't open before the olympics if so, but... it probably won't open by the olympics anyway at this point, so who fucking cares

One of the best things about the DiC SM adaptation is the music, and I'm not talking about the songs. The original score was exceptional.

Oh no.....💔 To those who don't know, if you first ever watched Sailor Moon in its DiC dub, he is the music composer who did the background music cues for the entire DiC dub. May he rest in peace.🕊️

It is with heavy heart that the composer for the DiC dub of #SailorMoon has passed away on August 2nd, 2026 at the age of 88. Bob Summers of Don Perry Music Company made BGM for the first 2 seasons of the 1995 English adaptation. Facebook post: www.facebook.com/donperrymusi... RIP Bob Summers

Sadly, most of my Tomb Raider site's engagement still comes from The Bad Place. Link clicks, replies, and likes over here are a tiny fraction of what I get over there. And it's not for the lack of trying. 🤷‍♀️ People will hype up Bsky but then not do the simple favour of reposting or replying.

Take care of yourselves. If you're seeing posts shared over & over that you find upsetting, remember that you can hide them so you don't see them again. "Hide post for me" is an underrated feature, IMHO.

I've watched 3 Lupin movies and ONE Lupin TV series (Part 6) on Toonami 3 years ago and to have the familiar VOs into Castle of Cagliostro has never happened.....until now. If it has to be Crunchyroll Store, what choice do they have. If only it's eventually available on streaming that'd be great.
