Next up for Sailor Moon is, you guessed it, the 1st OP for SuperS! As always, it was scanned from a 16mm rush print in 4K by us, with a little restoration on the side to fix damaged frames. Interesting thing to note: it contains an early, unfinalized logo! www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGoL...

I love how the TV Tokyo dub of The New Adventures of Batman made Bat-Mite a girl and thus accidentally also made "her" a lesbian.

Original dub censorship discourse is so annoying because it's always people acting like DiC just decided to censor the show for funsies while simultaneously ignoring the dozens of deeply problematic things about the anime.

"Neo Queen Serenity, who had been quietly guarding the city, decided to defend Crystal Tokyo against Phantom for once in her life." #SailorMoon

Page from the January 1994 issue of Tanoshii Youchien's "New Year's Game Book." The page shows Sailor Moon, Mercury, Mars, and Jupiter cleaning up the temple. In the middle of the room, a woman who looks like Queen Beryl but with blonde hair, red knee-high boots, and a black minidress, is being attacked by the girls: Mercury is on the floor, grabbing her leg; Jupiter is on the floor behind her, tripping her; and Sailor Moon appears to be using the Cutie Moon Rod on her.

Twenty years ago, when HP was at the height of its influence, JKR sued a progressive Russian socialist parody over spurious claims of copyright infringement. Today, she lets explicit HP fanfic be published and marketed as such because it keeps the series on cultural life support.

Why are Naoko Takeuchi's other manga not still in print in Japan, let alone available (officially) in other languages? At least give The Cherry Project and Toki Meka kanzenban releases.
