2026 version! I’ve made it a tradition to redraw this pose of my favorite characters of all time, Team CFVY from RWBY, every couple years. It’s satisfying to see the growth and evolution in my journey as a digital character artist. ☺️❤️ #rwby #teamcfvy #cfvy #rwbyfanart #characterart #drawthisagain

Okay see we also had the special red edition, plus the original title album— I was wondering why the album bg being blue felt wrong to me whenever I see it on Spotify lol

5. My Chemical Romance 'The Black Parade' 2006. One of the bands that rewired my brain chemistry in highschool lol. 'Welcome to the Black Parade' and 'Teenagers' are obvious classics but 'Mama' and 'House of Wolves' are personal favourites! open.spotify.com/album/0FZK97...

4. WANIMA 'Everybody!!' 2018. An extreme hard pivot from the first three lol. Don't understand a lick of Japanese, but I looove punk rock/pop punk. Their sound is so energising and bouncy, it never fails to make me smile. 'Together' aka 'ともに' is such a banger! open.spotify.com/album/1spFHT...

3. Velociraptor 'Computer Future' 2024. A hometown band that recently called it quits (still upset I couldn't go to their last gig). Technically spent more time listening to their 2014 title album 'Velociraptor' but 'Leaving Hollywood' has become a fav song of mine. open.spotify.com/album/0LShnM...

2. Bleachers 'Gone Now' 2017. Though my fav song isn't on this album (How Dare You Want More (Live at Radio City Music Hall) btw!!) this is the one that I have listened most too. 'Goodmorning', 'I Miss Those Days' and 'Dont Take The Money' are etched in my brain. open.spotify.com/album/10HKbC...

renewal update! it's party time i guess! ALSO we're probably going to go on a bit of a hiatus now that we're halfway through, at least as far as main chapters go. so, if you're behind, now might be a good chance to catch up <3 archiveofourown.org/works/741828...

fsdf right?!?! also don't get me started on 'affirmation', 'i knew i loved you', 'truly madly deeply', or 'to the moon & back'. pretty sure i must have scratched my mum's savage garden cds by how much i played them lol

1. Montaigne 'Complex' 2019. Also really adore their recent 2025 album 'it's hard to be a fish', but 'Complex' has me in a choke hold. I have listened to 'The Dying Song' on repeat too many times to count fsdf... open.spotify.com/album/0m678D...

They have a tab where you can toggle off AI content — I'm sure AI still gets through (unfortunately) but I find it easier than having to like use specific phrasing in google images to not get AI. Also I find I get a range of photos/image refs that I've never seen on google

010

sailor ✨ @sailorb00.bsky.social · 12/04/2026

with the anti-AI filter turned up to 100% mind you!!! if you don't every 2nd photo/image ref is gonna be 'AI-enchanced' fsdf

I honestly love that characters can kind of overlap like that, especially if the way they connect to their fairytale allusion is different, so we get to see multiple sides/retellings, etc 🥰✨

110

sailor ✨ @sailorb00.bsky.social · 31/03/2026

I mean, it's the same with characters like Theodore and Ruby, who one could argue both share traits with Dorothy. Albeit Theodore is THE Dorothy in Ozpin's circle, but Ruby's name and her silver eyes feel like a reference to Dorothy's slippers (Silver in og material and ruby in MGM film)

110

sailor ✨ @sailorb00.bsky.social · 31/03/2026

Eh. There's bound to be some overlap. I mean to be fair Rumpole is a multi-allusion character with stronger fairytale connections to King Midas, Rumpelstiltskin, and the miller's daughter who can 'turn straw into gold' (also Rumpelstiltskin) more so than Rapunzel — i.e. longish hair and a 'R' name.
