Many game devs start out thinking making games is hard. Eventually, they realize it's actually fucking hard, and that making games while dealing with social and company dynamics is even harder. I think that's one reason so many end up going solo.

Nos encanta humanizar cualquier objeto. Es muy difícil hacerle ver a un neófito que el chatbot que parece que le habla y tiene conciencia propia no es más que un algoritmo de lotería gramatical que necesita de recursos naturales brutales para poder tirar un dado y generar un "guiso de patata".

Que las LLM actuales son algoritmos estadísticos es algo que intento explicar a la gente pero sé que es una batalla perdida, es como explicar random y estadísticas en game design, a los humanos les cuesta mucho entender esos conceptos 😅

Back in 2009, I wrote the script for a sci-fi adventure game set in the near future. It had mediocre autonomous cars, citizen points (social credit), hyper-vigilant democracies, and everyone was constantly on their phone, even while walking or doing other stuff (BTW I was told this was unrealistic).

I love this movie for a special reason. It came out back when we still had a movie theater in our neighborhood. You could go during the week and watch movies for a really low price. I got to see The Sixth Sense in this small, cozy theater without knowing anything about the movie. It was so much fun

At first I wasn't sure about the new Ted Lasso season, I liked it being focused on the women team but I was afraid it was going to be just the same again and get worse. It started to slowly win me over, specially with Alice ❤️ and the season finale has been SO GOOD I can't stop crying 😭😭😭

I agree it's important to get it right: Capcom said they want to use genAI agents to write code among other tasks, that's why they're doing the refactor work, and why they are publishing their libraries on GitHub, they want chatgpt etc to be trained with their code so they can use it.

The AI slide in the JP article basically says: - standardized language used to C#, since it's popular - AI-agent first engine architecture, aka interfaces to allow the state of the engine to be readable/manipulatable by agents - open-sourced some libraries so AI can scrape it

I keep seeing this argument and it drives me insane. I think many Capcom fans dislike genAI so they're desperately grasping at straws to pretend that they're not doing what they're clearly doing. The original Japanese article explicitly talks about generating code and even training models.

They didn't fell for anything. I went to the source and looked at what was said in that Capcom presentation. They want to adapt their next version of their engine so degenerative AI bots can do the work, including programming. They conflated all forms of AI, the good ones and the bad ones.

Just watched the Lanterns season finale. What a show. Loved it from start to finish. Everything makes sense, the characters are intelligent and believable, everything is wrapped up nicely, there's no stupid cliffhangers just to push for another season... And yet, the ending is pure hype (and love).

In brightest day, in blackest night, Lanterns season 2 shall not escape my sight.
