Behold my lounging boy on his throne of pillows

Ripley, a lovely tubby gray tabby cat, is all stretched out on the arm of a sofa and some pillows right beside it. The sofa is covered in a protective gray gray blanket, and the pillows are gold, blue and red. Rip is dangling his back right foot and tail off the arm of the sofa, and is stretched across the arm and onto the pile of pillows. His right front leg is extended out, and his head is tilting down with his eyes closed.

So I gave my old cat the orange blanket for a nest in my office. I sit right under the a/c so I get chilly sometimes, and got a little green lap blanket for me, so I wouldn’t steal his. I set it down for 5 minutes and:

The old man Ripley is snuggled into my green fleece lap blanket (in a wad on the floor) right next to his abandoned orange blanket nest. Everything I own is his.

A vibrant tie-dyed sundress with short sleeves hangs in a window by the door. The dyes are purples and deep amethyst pinks. The way the dress is dyed makes it look like it’s made of geodes, with concentric patterns throughout. It is stunning.

Made you a lemon ricotta pound cake 🍋 😘

A pretty pound cake bursting out of a tinfoil loaf pan. The cake is a golden brown color, with splits in the tops where the cake opened up. Inside the splits, the cake is pillowy and bright yellow. There are some brown bits here and there. All in all, a good bake.

Talking with an artist friend who wants to see my old watercolor stuff and friends. This little thing on a scrap of paper (probably 3” wide?) is my favorite thing I ever painted:

So this one gets a little story. I was at my desk working on a completely different project and had been using this piece of paper to mix paints. As I worked, I started to see this figure in it and it looked just like my friend Brian. I cleaned it up, added some detail and highlights and sure enough, it’s Brian. I sent this to him shortly after.

This is a piece of watercolor paper maybe 3” wide and maybe 6” tall. On it there is a painting of a Native man, wearing a blue sweater and a beanie hat, and standing in the sun. He’s visible from the chest up. The sun glints off his face and lights up parts of his shirt. The sky is purple for some reason.

My roomie got me a 2’ long gummy snake

I’ve never seen this before so I had to do mine

A little graph that charts Hot on the x axis and Crazy on the y. I have landed just a little under halfway up and about 3/4 of the way across indicating (I think) that I am not entirely nuts and reasonably attractive.

The same chart overlaid with descriptors: The No-Go Zone is the entire left half of the chart. The other half is sliced up into pieces called Crazy Zone (top of the crazy axis), the Fun Zone, Date Zone, Marriage and Unicorn.

There is a little text beneath it that says “you are 70% hot, 44.17% crazy, which places you in the fun zone”. I’m not entirely sure what this implies. But hey! I’m fun!
