older generations problems with gen z is that they don’t do research and don’t really care to. So they’ll come up with these takes that are very obvious but act like it’s revolutionary, because to them it is. It’s embarrassing to watch someone be a “critic” when they don’t understand the material.

Being mixed means having the realization of what shrinkage REALLY means at like 30 💀 I’ve been thinking my hairs thinning!!!! Nope a couple years ago I just started focusing on curl definition for the first time. I didn’t realize shrinkage effects VOLUME too 🤦🏽

And audiences can telllllllll, they might not have the industry jargon but they can tell that something should’ve been funny but didn’t land. They can tell they’re not connecting to the characters. They can tell the plot feels predictable.

I think my problem with a lot of modern comedies/sitcoms is that it just feels like the creators don’t want to be making it. Some of these shows give “stepping stone” in a way that is not inviting to me as a viewer. Like why are you so embarrassed about being funny…IN A COMEDY 💀
