I’m not a fan of how we make fun of the appearance (age, body shape) of those we disagree with on political, social or religious vectors. Elon and Trump are terrible people but we either support body positivity and anti-ageist views or we don’t. We cannot cherry pick when our ideals apply.

Closing in on the final instrumental arrangement for my next collab with Smile Thieves. It’s a cover song but one that has deep personal history for me. Excited to record vocals for it. I’ve been wanting to make this for 20 years. Early Spring release with a music vid is the goal right now.

One night she came in plastered and tried to get in bed but ended up rolling out and throwing up on my laundry basket. All she ate that night were cheddar goldfish crackers. I can’t bear to be around them still to this day.

I dreamt up the idea and now i’m obsessed with it. The next Final Fantasy title should be about a couple of twentysomethings who are in love and the player has multiple opportunities to express it through dialogue and PDAs. Eventually the girl gets pregnant with a harbinger…

Gladiator II is like style-free, and has little rizz. But there’s stuff i definitely liked and you can’t argue with those sets and costumes. It looks more epic for sure.

I LOVE the original. It was very stylishly shot and edited, and Russell Crowe has a commanding presence. Though it is sort of a kind with the “muh dead wife and or kids” cinematic universe that includes Braveheart and the Patriot etc.

The Brutalist is one of those films you have the pleasure of decoding once it’s finished. So many scenes, bits of dialogue, shot compositions suddenly reveal hidden meaning and depth given the film’s latter half. It’s not like a mystery, more like a meditation.

Sorry, BlueSky. I liked Emilia Perez a lot. The music is freaking incredible. Because of course it is. It’s written by Camille, that indie art pop queen, and her songwriting partner, husband. I thought the performances were great too. Especially Zoe Saldana as the most catless cat lady ever on film.

Presence is quite good. I feel like it lands in Hereditary territory where the family drama and dynamics, the grief and battle lines are interesting by themselves but there’s some whackadoo 3rd Act stuff that either rips you out or locks you into it.
