commission for @mllekurtz.bsky.social, who requested Neve and Lucanis posed in the style of one of the photographs from a Marjorie Morningstar (1958) photoshoot! both the composition and the characters were so fun to work on, thank you for commissioning me 💜 #DragonAge #Veilguard

digital fan art of Neve and Lucanis from Dragon Age: The VeilGuard, done in a painterly style and a warm palette of browns, beige and soft teal.

Neve is a woman in her mid-thirties, with light brown skin and long straight dark brown hair. she is wearing a white silk shirt with a low neckline that shows her cleavage, a pair of fitted turquoise pants, and a short leather vest. her geometric drop earring and the buttons on her clothes are all done in gold, and her eyes are accentuated with dark eye shadow.

Lucanis is a light-skinned man of similar age to Neve, dressed in a shirt, trousers and a waistcoat in shades of brown and dark blue. he has straight shoulder-length black hair that would ordinarily be slicked back, but is now partially falling down as he is leaning over Neve, who has her head pillowed in his lap. they are looking at each other, Neve with a crooked grin, Lucanis with a softer, smaller smile. one of Neve's arms is resting on the ground, the hand relaxed and close to her head, while the other is reaching up, her palm curling around the back of Lucanis's neck, keeping him close.

The fact the Ramon reading of Dorian’s letter came out after my Pavellan replay of DAI only means my Pavellan brainrot has been lit aflame once again. I think I need to start paying those two rent to live in my own brain.

You’re trying to make me choose between Neve and Emmrich and that is wildly unfair. I have too much bi panic for this. But the first three games, absolutely: Zevran, Isabela, Dorian

Zevran Isabela Dorian Neve and Emmrich (because I can’t decide on my canon between the two and I’ve decided that my canon is two Rooks at the same time because EA can’t tell me what to do) There’s definitely a theme here but I don’t want to navel gaze to read into it 😂

DA Fans: Hit Bioware in the wallet and only get your DA merch from fan creators, not the Bioware store. The devs don't see the kickback.

But DA isn't dead. There's fic. There's art. There's the connections we made through the games and because of the games. Technically EA/BioWare owns the IP but you can't own an idea, no matter how much they want to. DA isn't dead because it's yours now.

Azriel’s greatest fear is abandonment. It began when he was one mage too many in his original clan. He clings desperately to those he loves and is always terrified that they will leave him behind and that he will be alone and tetherless.

Even if you do not create/consume/like NSFW media you must speak up for SWs and NSFW creators b/c the criminalizing and banning of it is just another step towards fascism. It will be used to target minority groups, LGBT, etc. and anything deemed "unsanitary" or "degenerate".

Ziv and Emmrich go on a double date with Ziv’s brother Azriel and Dorian and it goes… actually fine, except for the part where Dorian teases Emmrich about them being brothers-in-law. 🤣 But four mages all together? Nerrrrrrrrds. 💖

Azriel immediately adored Josephine for trying to understand him as a person and culturally. Leliana scared the shit out of him. He was wary of Cullen bc templar but was still low-key attracted. Cullen nipped in the bud real fast and despite the mage vs templar thing they became best friends.

Nova’s home is Minrathous. To be more specific, post-game, it’s the apartment she shares with her wife Neve and their two cats. Ziv’s home is Emmrich. Even Arlathan Forest doesn’t feel quite right without him there.

sabreist @sabreist.bsky.social · 16/01/2025

Azriel is a mage and was considered technically an apostate by the Chantry even before Everything. Zero trust in the templars, then he discovered that a magister had indentured them which was a Big Concern, so, yeah. Sided with the mages.

All this discussion of “waah X character is so mean to my babygirl Lucanis” is making me, for the first time since the game was released, consider joining the side of the “I hate that you can’t be mean” naysayers because now I want to be mean to Lucanis because I’m a petty bitch. (May delete later.)
