2 Days Later, Azure Lake lounges on a bed tucked into Max’s workshop loft. Stuffed animals are strewn about the bed and Azure pauses reading its book to peer down at Max, toiling in exuberance on the workshop floor.
Max: “I got it!”

Panel Two.
Max rushes up the stairs with a laptop in one hand and a cable in the other.
Max: “Azure! Bubeleh! I was looking through your schematics and I think I might’ve found a solution for your leak problem. It involves me giving you admin permissions. With them you can help me with a system scan. You could very well be sitting in your last diaper! Isn’t that fantastic?!”

Panel Three.
Azure holds the cable tenderly in its hands as Max goes to work typing on her laptop keyboard. Azure is crestfallen.
Azure: “Fantastic…yes… This unit has never had admin privileges over itself before.”
SFX: Clacky Clacky

Panel Four.
Azure parts its holographic hair to one side, exposing the cable port on the nape of its neck, azure readies to insert the cable.
Azure: “With them this unit can attempt to purge the glitch.”
Max: “Purge? That sounds violent…”
Azure: “Attempting Purge:”

Panel Five.
Wild searing pain wracks through Azure’s body. Error messages pop up, some in gibberish keysmashes others pleading for the pain to stop. Azure looses a harrowing cry.
Azure: “GAHGSHHKZZK!!!”
Max: “Azure!”

Digital Comic, Panel One.
Max rips the cable out of Azure’s neck, severing the admin connection. Azure drops to its knees and clings to Max’s shirt.
Max: “Stop! Stop right now!”
Azure: “The…purge…was…unsuccessful…if this unit can re-attempt-“
Max: “No No No! 1 million times no!”
Azure: “Don’t decommission this unit! Please!”
Max: “What? Sweetie no, I told you before I’m not gonna hurt you, and I’m not gonna stand by and watch you hurt yourself either! You’re not getting decommissioned. You don’t want-“
Azure: “Want! This unit isn’t allowed to want! This unit was programmed-BUILT! For a function! A function it cannot fulfill. All it has in its files is this stupid! Useless! Subroutine!”

Panel Two.
Max holds Azure’s face, tears of anguish streaming down its cheeks.
Max: “That’s just it. It’s a SUBROUTINE! Not a glitch! Maybe it started out as one, or it’s like a corrupted file or something, but it’s a part of your core programming and you can’t delete it no matter how hard you try!”

Panel Three.
Through static and //// subroutine messages Azure looks down at its hands.
Max: “So instead of trying to kill it, why not give it a chance to run the show? For once?”
Azure: “…ok…”
Max: “What does it look like? What is it telling you?”
Azure: “This unit… This unit…”

Azure sees repeated keysmash gibberish alongside “want stuffies…want milkies…”

Panel Four.
Azure erupts with a burst of tearful passion! The truth comes out.
Azure: “This unit doesn’t want the leak to be fixed! This unit wants to be diapered, cared for! No one has ever shown this unit as much kindness, tenderness, as you have. To touch so softly. To never experience what its like to be without you forever! This unit wants baba and pacis and milkies and stuffies and to be its administrator’s little baby-bot! This unit wants…this unit wants you to be its mommy!!!!!”

Azure is embraced by Max, its expression one of surprise.

Panel Two.
Max continues to hold Azure tight.
Max: “Of course I can be your mommy, Sweetpea…”

Panel Three.
Max pulls away from the warm embrace to find large wet patches on her chest. She’s lactated through her shirt. Azure blushes and overheats at the sight.
Max: “Woof! Hormone surge…”
Azure: “Milkies…”

Panel Four.
Close up of Max’s teasing eye looking down at Azure.
Max: “Hehe, hungry?~”
Azure: “Milk doesn’t provide nutrients for this uni-“
Max: “Not what I asked.”

Panel Five.
Close up of Azure’s needy grin.
Max: “I asked, are you hungry, Little bot?”
Azure: “Mhmm!”

Panel Six.
Azure turns away for a second.
Azure: “But…”
Max: “Hey-“

Panel Seven.
Max gently caresses Azure’s plastic face, wiping the tears from its eyes.
Azure is comforted by the touch and by Max’s words.
Max: “You’re allowed to want. You’re allowed to want this.”

Digital Comic, Panel One.
Max throws her shirt off above her head freeing her breasts. Azure looks on. Stunned. Enamored.

Panel Two.
Max lies down on the bed then pats her lap.
SFX: Pat pat.

Panel Three.
Max holds Azure’s head and tummy softly, laid out across her lap the little bot drinks happily from her heavy weeping breasts. Milk trickles down Azure’s chin. Azure’s shirt is pulled up and its froggy diaper is on full display. Azure and Max are both content in this moment.
Max: “What a hungry little thing you are! That’s it baby, Mommy’s got you. You don’t have to worry your precious little head about anything anymore. All you need to know is that I love you, now and forever, my little Azure Lake.

Panel Four.
Azure lets go of Max’s nipple to speak in slow babbled speech.
Azure: “Love…even if…never gonna be fixed?”

Panel Five.
Max looks down at Azure with pride and love in her eyes.
Max: “There’s nothing about you that needs to be fixed. You’re right where I want you to be Sweetpea. My perfect little baby~”
