I have peaked at Halloween too early, eating this absolute monstrosity from our local bakers, and have now consumed so much sugar I can see through several dimensions, akin to my Slimelight days.

A cake of the character Om Nom from the Cut The Rope series of games, made of two halves of a chocolate cookie with green fondant icing between them, little marshmallow teeth and white fondant eyes. Just looking at this probably makes dentists weep, or possibly consider long term investments.

My family’s tartan is Clan Gordon. I was lucky enough to have a kilt made when my uncle gave me some money, so I could wear it at our wedding.

I utterly adore the concept, and very much want to have a kilt made with this tartan. It’s right that Scotland recognises and memorialises those who were persecuted, and I wish more would follow suit. While there have been no full apologies in England, I was glad to see this plaque at Colchester.

Came downstairs to find the soft toys performing their own ritual…

Three soft toys; Peter Rabbit, a fluffy dog and a frog all sit around the edge of a colourful child’s play-mat, in a room with low lighting. Closest to the frog, the bright orb of a glowing moon toy lights up the faces of the toys in a somewhat macabre manner, giving the impression that they are engaged in some form of ritual. Honest truth - they have not been posed like this, I came into the room to discover this scene.
