A minor thing that drives me insane is the grocery store self-checkout now requires verification for selecting "no bags". You already have me doing this so you can pay fewer employees, and now I have to wait for someone to come over and verify that I'm not trying to skip the $0.15 plastic bag fee 🫩

The Boomers here actually get aggravated by people using computers even when they're literally taking notes, and these are exactly the same people who feel like they don't have your undivided attention if you're drinking iced coffee. Water and a notebook are somehow fine and not distracting.

Today I had my one on one with my boss, and she apologized for typing because she's transitioning to taking digital notes rather than handwritten. It's highly recommended at this company to always bring a physical notebook to meetings to make a good impression and look like you're paying attention.
