I saw a few devs mentioning that #FlutterDev apps on iPhones typically have a give away because they use "MaterialApp" and ink splashes show up on iPhones. You can fix this in ThemeData, it can even be platform adaptive so you still have ink on Android, but not on iPhone! Imagine that😃💙

Did a random test of the Themes Playground and WASM build with #FlutterDev 3.29. I noticed it performed much better than before, but that the improvement came via updates to the Chromium engine, as using an older version was still as poor as before. 1/3

Interesting @flutter.dev WEB bug with the newer KeyboardListener APIs that replace RawKeyboardListener APIs, the KeyUpEvents do not come when multiple keys are pressed, this kills typical game control usage on Web. Webber @jezell.bsky.social and Flame engine @spydon.dev, have you seen this? 1/2

Platform owner has his agenda, I don't share his views, but there are a lot of wonderful people there and generally the reach is much higher. Most devs don't care about US politics and leave it alone. Btw, should being inclusive not also include, including those with different views? 🤔 Oh well...🤷‍♂️🙂

Let's hope it will get bug fixes. Last fix is soon 2 months ago (Nov 22), before that two features Nov, 13 and 18. All other commits after that are pure maintenance chore, no real fixes. Experimenting with adding the #Shadcn standard color schemes to #FlutterDev #FlexColorScheme plus a selectable premade config that configures Material-3 to be "Shadcn like" and inspired. Need to add some more props in FCS to get a bit closer for some widgets, where doable 🤷‍♂️🙂💙

Any #FlutterDev IntelliJ users? With latest #Flutter and IJ updates, the excellent run all tests with coverage option has been broken. No matter what I try to do the option is always greyed out. It was great, offered really nice coverage reports and display of not hit lines. Nothing close on Code.

Is anybody else frustrated with #FlutterDev new wide gamut Color migrations? And tests where past equality for computed colors just breaks everywhere? Sure for singe colors you can use isSameColorAs, but when many are nested deep into objects that were equal before! Argh!! 🤬🙂

#FlutterDev has its own convenient definition of what a breaking change is. That an API that works in Flutter 3.24 but does not compile in 3.27, is considered not breaking nor enough to warrant a breaking change notice, is odd. Imo, we deserve higher standards 🤷‍♂️😅 github.com/flutter/flut...

Material-3 can still be bright and look a lot less like @googledesign.bsky.social defaults. Like e.g. no pastel tints and why not also remove splashes to make it feel more platform agnostic. In #FlutterDev the standard MaterialApp can be themed quite a bit, try it💙> t.co/OWhEjfXmNH

They are fine out of the box, not much theming needed, although tuning radius is always fun. I like 12 as a platform agnostic look, but you can make it platform adaptive and have 12 on none Android and use stadium on Android. As discussed, the two other issues are both type related, but slightly different cases. I will present them in the same issue report. I have simple repro sample ready to go that reproduces it 100% of time in the WASM build, and works 100% in both JS and VM build. On all Flutter channels master too.
