You know when you're having One Of Those Nights

Ryan Thompson-Bamsey @ryanthompsonbamsey.bsky.social · 16h

If I got 50p every time a thing that requires attention happened on a Friday evening after I'd already had one gin, I'd have... Probably enough to buy a second bottle of gin.

[Review game] is fun but tell me why I've spent longer playing Katamari Damacy this evening rolling rolling rolling

Going solo to an orchestral concert is one of the most magical evenings. So flipping mindful and relaxing and Let The Cares Go Away of it all.

People legit calling Fortune's Weave 'half baked' because it's slim on supports is bonkers. Awakening did so much damage to the ecosystem istg

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave has been blowing me away for over a month at this point. It's massive, sometimes messy, but also keenly aware of what made Three Houses so beloved and intent on stretching every one of those things to logical extremes. www.thegamer.com/fire-emblem-...

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave Is Almost Absurdly Ambitious

I still can't quite believe how big this one is.

Spent the past two days wrangling with this, and it now feels quite cool to say this as a result: I have a website. ryanthompsonbamsey.com/2026/09/13/a...

And a new adventure begins~ (If anyone remembers my stupid stuff from the Twitter days, this might be a fun little writing project)

A truck with Pokemon flying over it, from Pokemon Infinite Fusion.

Arriving in Littleroot Town in Pokemon Infinite Fusion.

The wild Pokemon encounter with Professor Elm being attacked by both a Zigzagoon and Poochyena, in Pokemon Infinite Fusion.

The first wild Pokemon battle, against a fused Zigzagoon and Poochyena. I have a Mudkip. In Pokemon Infinite Fusion.

The Long Road To The End Of Valheim Is Worth The Grind

Valheim 1.0 is a gorgeous, brutal survival adventure whose Deep North finale makes hundreds of hours of grinding feel worthwhile.

I spoke with three members of the Thedas at War team, who created a total Dragon Age overhaul for Crusader Kings 3. It is basically a full Dragon Age strategy game. Here, we discuss the process of making DA work in this format (and what stories can/can't work) www.thegamer.com/crusader-kin...

I feel attractive for the first time in like.. over a decade, and I don't know what to do with it My brain says 'go flirt with guys in bars and kiss strangers' but I am a married man in my very early thirties (I will never say early thirties on its own that feels decrepit)

I do not think it's against the rules to say that Fortune's Weave is my favourite Fire Emblem. I am 50 hours in at this point. Before this, my favourites were Fates, Sacred Stones, and Thracia 776. For some preview thoughts (and a yaoi screenshot): www.thegamer.com/fire-emblem-...

I get so down on myself but then have to remind myself that I did bloody finish a novel I spent so many years with false starts and such. But I finished it now and that's more than can be said for many And if that last sentence hurts someone who reads it: start writing again. Just write. Write more

My lovely husband has been complaining for a very long time that I own too many coffee syrups and they take up too much room in the kitchen Today I did a stock take and put them all in cute little glass bottles to save space and... Yeah he might have had a point.
