The show is somewhat painted into a corner being based off of the games, but The Last of Us season 1 is so good and while I enjoy parts of season 2, the finale left me wondering why I was still watching at all.

I ALMOST lost a game to decking in this Cube once in this fashion, but I had a way to give haste, and the last card in my deck was a Razor Swine that I was able to attack for lethal with.

The more potentially realistic avenue is to destroy all of your opponent's Razor Swines and deck them, but if you go down that road you might just lose to drawing extra cards or surveilling more than your opponent, lmao

Yeah, you need to draw one of the small number of cards that gives your opponent a poison counter before casting proliferate spells, but even then there's barely enough in the entire Cube to get there, lol.

I had previously featured cards that would allow you to play light on hogs or creatureless and I have yet to see a repeatably fun way to facilitate that.

Green is a tough color to crack with every creature having first strike and infect, but Rancor remains GOATed.

I was even looking at Emergency Phytomedic and Vigorbloom Vanguard as potential options for the same Cube! I probably would have noticed if they were casting a known quantity like Giant Growth, but it's really funny that I never read "Seed Suture" on both cards.

A lot of different things captured my attention with the set, and I didn't notice until today that Reality Fracture gives the same prepared spell down to the name to multiple creatures. I really enjoy prepare as a mechanic generally and think that's a sick innovation.

I think it’s well-costed, too. A deck that is trying to do that kind of thing hits hard and fast but is liable to run out of steam. Five mana is a lot for those decks to reset, but it does give them the option to play on if they can stay in the game after getting two-for-one’d.
