RESTAURANT OWNERS 1) You should offer your menu on your website 2) That menu should NOT require you to go through the motions of an online order 3) If it does make you go through the motions of an online order, you had better not have any interstitials, like "choose a location"

Welp, I pull the plug on the Pixel 10a experiment. I thought it would be *just* enough phone. Alas, it couldn't do it. Rather than spend $1099 on a Pixel 11 Pro with less ram I was able to snag a Pixel 10 Pro to get 16gb of memory. It's the dull moonstone color. But it'll have a case anyway.

Sour/Sweet moment for early October. I love Fall colors in the trees and most everything has begun changing. It has also been mostly sunny & dry which is nice. However, October is starting off warm with upper-70's and mid-80's for highs in the Portland area. It is also dry and we need rain.

Just over a century ago, half the US population (women) didn't have the right to vote. The voices that campaigned AGAINST that right didn't go away. They hid among traditionalists & camouflaged themselves w/religion, revealing themselves during the MAGA era when it again became safe to be sexist.

Holy hell... The Pixel 10a just chugs ping everything. I know it is an older Tensor chip and only has 8GB of memory. But it can't possibly be this bad? It would have shown up in the reviews...? I don't know if the performance is that mid or something isn't right with my unit.

I agree with the anti-big tech movement and owning your data. But I struggle with the fact that I actually rather like Google's software and platforms. I have plenty of issues with Google itself. Does this really mean I should abandon everything I like for inferior software? I'm awfully torn.

Also, when it comes to the Pixel, who can forget Panda Pixel? That was such a great look. This and the two-tone styles of the Pixel 6 series phones. Google really lost their playfulness with the Pixel 7 and on. I'd love to see Google bring back some fun in future designs.

9to5google has a poll about which Pixel phone is your favorite. I honestly still really love the Pixel 5. The small camera squricle, the hand feel, and the sage green was wonderful. I also miss have the XL version of the "a" series. I'd love to see that come back.

I've been using Fitbit Air + Pixel Watch 5 for health tracking. This is the combo I've been wanting. I don't like wearing my watch to be. I tried a ring tracker but there where various issues with that. Being able to swap between a lightweight fabric tracker and a formal watch is fantastic.

What did we learn today? That Jack Smith is a Caitlin Clack fan and that Senator Eric Schmitt is a dirtbag! The senator mistook the Atlanta Hawks for the Iowa Hawkeyes and tried to accuse Jack Smith of perjury. Epic fail. I'm still a fan of Jack Smith. A real American patriot. 🇺🇸

It is possible that the Pixel after initial setup is doing some sort of indexing that causes performance issues? After I got all my core apps configured the Pixel 10a started operating smoother than earlier today.

Hmmm... I was hoping the newer tensor chip vs. the Pixel 8 Pro would give a noteable performance bump. Alas the 8GB vs 12GB of memory might still be hamstring performance. I may need to bite the bullet on a Pixel 10, 11, or something else. Tbd.

Man, WSU offense is completely unwatchable. Which is weird after years of WSU mostly being able to move the ball. The defense is good but with the offense being a 3 & Out machine eventually they get over run because they are tired.
