Hart et al show that somatostatin released by delta cells during nutrient stimulation mostly inhibits alpha cell cAMP and Ca2+ via SSTR2. This prevents glucagon release and indirectly limits potentiation of insulin release link.springer.com/article/10.1... 🔓
