Erecting a monument to ego so close to Arlington National Cemetery would dishonor the veterans buried there as well as our country. Any American who still understands the meaning of honor ought to oppose it.

The real story isn't that Jennica Pounds (DataRepublican) was too stupid to be a useful idiot. It's that she along with at least three other major MAGA influencers seem to secretly work for the Department of Defense. Neither they nor the department have disclosed this. Makes you wonder.

I know it's easier to just assume corporate greed but I don't think that's the case here. Journalists need to do better on convering this because they are propagating a lot of ideas that are not grounded in technological and industrial reality. 5/5

This is a substantially harder manufacturing problem than the missiles Ukraine has demonstrated it can build domestically. This is an extremely high performance ballistic missile interceptor, where several difficult technologies have to work simultaneously at the edge of their tolerances. 4/5

Even if Washington and Lockheed handed Ukraine a complete technical data package and unrestricted production license for PAC-3 tomorrow, I don't not have confidence Ukraine could manufacture it. 3/5

Partially as a result, people are blaming Lockheed when I do not think they are the blocker. Kyiv needs to decide if the priority is getting PAC-3 production up as fast as possible or if it is domestic production. Because they are not the same. 2/5

I'm going to say something controversial here but it shouldn't be: For all the talk about giving Ukraine the license to built Patriot missiles, there very little talk about whether Ukraine actually can manufacture these missiles. 1/5

NATO leaders not accepting the gift of a customized revolver from Turkey at the NATO summit and leaving them in Ankara (UK and Germany) or handing them over to their police back home (Belgium and Canada) is impressively boring and lame. Modern officialdom can drain the romance out of anything.
