Long story, maybe for another time, but just after college, I ended up at a party attended by almost exclusively comedians. A few of them are currently writers for some really big shows. And honestly it was terrifying. I mean the quick wit and conversational dexterity were sensational.

I think this is always worth bearing in mind. And not just about the famous "greats." It's good practice to keep everything in perspective as a writer or creator or worker. You do something long enough, you'll get really good at it. But you'll also have more than a handful of stinkers
