Damage is done here in Canada, in regards to American trade relations. Governments at every level, private citizens and companies see the risk that this US administration poses. The betrayal is deeply felt. Going forwards, a strong aversion to American products and services will likely take place.

The USA and Canada have long benefited greatly from open and fair trade, with bumps along the road. Both sides have historically pressed their issues, with concessions. This is different. No logic is behind these tarrifs, and no citizen on either side will benefit if they stay in place long.
