RW Hedges @rwhedges.bsky.social · 06/03/2025I have two seasonal songs not recorded yet but are up this year We will record the end of August. I expect 'The animal winter ball' & 'Prokofiev's Sleigh' Songwriters must have a go at writing them because they are the ancestor in practice of the earliest popular song in the west? 010

RW Hedges @rwhedges.bsky.social · 18/01/2025That's great. She's in good company, and she's a positive force for good I know 👍 It is a shame people have forgotten Maxine Sullivan She was known as the blue sky girl because her torch song was Cole Porters Blue Skies :) 010
RW Hedges @rwhedges.bsky.social · 18/01/2025Have you heard the sunny side of the street? Will you still love me tomorrow? These are the standards that were set that haven't been followed and that's a part of American music history It's not for everyone, of course, like swift Maxine Sullivan Goodness gracious, she could sing 100
RW Hedges @rwhedges.bsky.social · 18/01/2025Dorothy Fields was a very great songwriter with solid standards and zero tricks Her songs are assured a timeless place in the craft of song much like Carole King. I had a listen to Taylor swift and I'm glad she helps less fortunate people? That's good I guess. 100

RW Hedges @rwhedges.bsky.social · 31/12/2024I love the old musicals with standards People have forgotten the great songs of the old and embraced a cgi version of music today 🎶 Sad isn't it 000
RW Hedges @rwhedges.bsky.social · 31/12/2024I love the old musicals with songs that became standards I'm definitely woke and a lib too 000

RW Hedges @rwhedges.bsky.social · 20/12/2024The small following an independent artist has on twitter doesn't necessarily transcend to bluesky. here it's very closed and fluffy If social media is dying, it's not exactly asking for help The superficial and overrated is still in control The need to be seen is just as glaringly bad for art 010

RW Hedges @rwhedges.bsky.social · 18/12/2024I'm not that fussed regards lyrics printed. If lyric writers crafted their words with more care, we'd know what they are saying, See Larry Hart Dorothy Fields or any of those great lyricists of the bygone era. We have Taylor Swift who apparently is like Shakespeare Hahaha 000
