This fur belongs to... Charlie! We stand in solidarity with every animal used by the fur trade whose voice cannot be heard and call on Parliament to stop the import and sale of fur in the UK. Add your voice: www.furfreebritain.uk/fur-belongs/ #FurFreeBritain

I suggested this paper and, talking to Pablo about how names like "patriot eagle" stuck in the mind, I can't help wondering if animals will be next in Trump's renaming spree... Will the Canada lynx become the America lynx? 🤔

Great idea from Ian Lim Han Yan: including a #feedback form as part of a @neobiota.pensoft.net ePoster stack 👏 Clever to use the online format for professional development (I'll magpie this idea!) & warming to see researchers put themselves out there for constructive feedback: api.ltb.io/show/ACQWZ

It's not *the* most important part of a poster, but I absolutely loved the #Ludwigiapeploides -inspired colour scheme on this @neobiota.pensoft.net poster by Marije Kovačević 🇭🇷 Check out the whole ePoster stack: api.ltb.io/show/ACRQY

Really enjoyed exploring the posters at @neobiota.pensoft.net Conference, but nothing has brightened my day more than this funny, informative video from the LIFE RIPARIAS poster (api.ltb.io/show/ACSLR) 🇧🇪 Silly Charles thinks he'll catch a big fish! What will he do when he gets a crayfish instead? 😂

#UofStirling Tuesday seminars starting off strong for the new semester with a talk from postdoc Marly Samuel on participatory research methods to understand young people's relationships to Lake Chilwa 🇲🇼 Sparked lots of ideas on studying public attitudes & what we can learn from intercultural work!

Lovely badger watching at #FallsOfClyde with @the-wildlifetrusts.bsky.social & Jamie, who'd never seen a real live #badger before! 🦡 Bonus, one sett is in plantation #woodland so they use that area to educate people about the differences between there & the restored broadleaf woodland next to it 🌲🌳

Food for thought in #Perth, #Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 ...never noticed the text on this sculpture before! "Native Plants Foreign Plants Growing Together In my Garden" A complicated topic at a time when native UK plants are struggling in the drought down south & Mediterranean plants are thriving in our climate 🤔

It's a win for invasive non-native species awareness on this week's #GreatBritishSewingBee as Anna prints #HimalayanBalsam on her Made To Measure fabric & constructs a narrative comparing biological invasions to foreign fashion taking over the 🇬🇧 wool trade!

I've been wondering about the impact of #HolmOak #QuercusIlex recently... @gbnnsss.bsky.social have assessed it as low risk, but my parents have just had it removed from overrunning their new garden and I found this sign on the island of Košljun 🇭🇷 which describes it as "overgrown" with holm oak
