The UAE says it shot down four incoming Iranian cruise missiles a couple of minutes ago. Now there are new incoming missile alerts. Iran is responding to the US attempt to help ships leave the Strait by attacking its Gulf neighbours.

Bombing a power plant is generally illegal under international humanitarian law and can be prosecuted as a war crime. Trump, having telegraphed his intention to bomb power plants, has incriminated himself of a WAR CRIME if he follows through. He, and Hegseth may not care, but the EU will.

His responses:

I heard the remarks of U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham, in which he calls on Gulf Cooperation Council countries to enter this war, saying that we are also being attacked and that we must join the fighting. I say clearly: we fully understand why we are being targeted, and we also know who brought the entire region into this dangerous escalation without consulting those he calls “his allies” in the region.

We thank God that the UAE and the GCC countries are safe, and we do not need anyone claiming to have come to the Middle East to “save us.” The truth is that hasty American decisions have dragged the region into a war that its people had no role in deciding, and its local allies were not consulted before it began.

We do not deny the Iranian threat to the region—it has been clear in recent days. We do not trust Iran. In this scenario, Iran, Israel, and the United States are all moving according to their own interests, not the interests of the peoples of the Middle Eastern Arab states.
