12.1 really takes the cake though. It progresses neither the story nor characters. Zul'jan achieves nothing, Zul'jarra learns nothing, neither of their philosophies are explored, challenged, or reinforced. The elves DON'T show up. The loa DO abandon her (albeit not by choice). WE learn nothing.

In all seriousness: I am personally a little let down, but more than that I’m sad for my troll-fan friends who I know are disappointed by the very predictable way this story played out.
