I lost my keys last week on the way to work. I have too many sidewalks and public transit transitions to believe I’d find them again (did report them missing to WMATA). My morning bus driver saved my keys for me, he saw me drop them on the sidewalk when I left the bus to go to the metro 😭😭 🥺

It already felt dystopian & weird last week to commute & see troops patrolling the metro - where they are doing nothing but look menacing, like their presence in the rest of the city. It’s the fed agents who are doing active harm But now, commuting while troops hold & carry weapons is just. scary.

Other states supporting the political theater by sending their National Guard is enraging and also increases the chances of violence in DC (the violence and crime that DIDNT exist when Trump claimed it did). Black and brown communities currently are always experiencing targeted arrest and violence

LIFE UPDATES from the past month! 1) A few folx here know I had medical issues and I am VERY happy to report I finally had surgery to resolve the problems. 1 week later, I can do basic life things like walk at my normal pace, be hungry again (lmao), and just basic normal things… mostly 😂.
