Metric/ imperial system makes not that big difference - in automotive I have seen a lot of drawings showing both measurements. I am pretty sure the 2.54 stays a basic measurement in the connector business for another 100 years.

For another topic - SD lost some 6 or 8 seats - I have seen a surprisingly long report in Upper Austria Daily News this morning - and Social Democrats gain was about the same, 8 parties won a parliamentary seat.
