If you plan to play the game then it's probably for the better if you remember nothing of the anime. Even if it's very different overall I imagine the major story beats are at least the same.

One thing the anime does that's completely original is the locations. The game took place entirely in an ethereal underwater zone, and while it worked for the game's atmosphere, I think it's a good thing the anime goes with original locations that are nothing like what the game had.

Then maybe I'll be the first person to ever say it's just fine. Though I feel like every Fate anime that's not Zero, Strange Fake or Prisma Illya has people saying it sucks complete dogshit.

I got excited though when Hakuno got stabbed since I thought they were going to do the fakeout from the game's prologue (which is one of my favorite parts of the game) but turns out Hakuno survived the stabbing and it didn't actually matter much.

I am actually impressed that the first episode is nothing at all like the game. It has the same characters and the same concept of battle royale on a virtual moon but everything else is completely different. Which is probably a good thing because I don't think Extra would make for an exciting anime.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone talk about this anime so I have no idea what to expect from it, but I assume it won't be very good. But even if it won't be good I am just really curious about it.

The cover art is just a photograph of gyoza being fried on a pan but then the game is a beat em up where you play as a gyoza chef fighting all kinds of monsters so their meat can be cooked.

Kouji, Yusa and Mei are all introduced before Minos in the manga, but their introductions are later in the anime because Minos is already there right from the start. A lot of the early gags of the manga also happen much later in the anime but not like chronology matters for this series at all.

The anime changes things up a lot more than I expected. In the manga Minos isn't introduced until the end of volume 3 but the anime starts with Medusa, Minos and Pekola already as Yurine's friends and skips all of their introductions.

Why'd my first post for the Jashin-chan manga thread get so many likes? Almost none of the likes are from my oomfs and it doesn't seem to be from Jashin-chan fans either, so I have to assume the post just ended up in a discovery feed and people liked it because of the cover art I used for the post.

Starting with chapter 39 the translation switches from Jyashin-chan to Jashin-chan so all is right in the world now (the scanlation in general feel higher quality as well now, I wonder if a different group started working on this series at this point)

It's not like I ever questioned where Yurine is all day while Jashin-chan is alone when watching the anime because I didn't think it was a detail that mattered. But the manga mentions Yurine's classes so often that it's weird the anime doesn't.

One thing the anime completely cuts is all references to Yurine going to college. In the manga whenever Jashin-chan is alone at home it's because Yurine has class, but the anime doesn't mention anything about where Yurine is when she's outside.
