I used the replay feature that they added in wuwa to play the Moon Chasing Festival again because I skipped the cutscenes last time. Man Rover did not talk at ALL back then lmao

Wait what if Ruby is part of Momo's unit and they're all just a gang of awesome witches who go around hitting people with funny spells and also the rending claws of the damned.

What if the reason I'm never happy with any of the "default" outfits I give to Ruby and yet I'm always dressing her up as a witch is because she was always meant to be dressed like a witch at all times.

i do think the ffxiv bsky space is missing a witch with huge fucking jugs and a big fucking hat. it feels like a largely untapped market

Just found out that even though I'm 33 years old on Earth, I'm not even legal age of consent on Mars. Gotta wait another ~1.88 earth years. Can't consume any Martian porn or fuck any big tiddy Martian goth girls. 😔️

Thank god I got her because if I didn't, I'd have a lot more to talk to my therapist about than dysphoria.

Just realized I've been playing chicken with Nelnet. Apparently my old student debt repayment plan from before the freeze won't work and they've been begging me to pick a new one... and I've been ignoring them. And like, I have no idea if they can do anything about it.

It'd feel disingenuous to say this on my actual streaming account so I'll say it here. What do you mean my twitch vods are actually starting to get views. I actually feel like this might work if I can improve my setup.

I'm too stressed by work to keep getting mad at dumbfuck modders, I'm leaving it to y'all now. I got too much shit going on.

000

Ruby and Friends 🔞 @rubyffxiv.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

I miss making videos!! I figured out a workflow that has me cut up stream VODs in one project and edit each part in their own timelines with effects and cuts and zooms and everything, each timeline labeled part1 part2 etc. and then when one is done, I just render it and move on to the next one.

"First Orbital Starship Launch" would have thrilled me either 10 years ago or if I was currently 12 years old. I'm not even hatewatching it, because I literally don't care. Send up a Vulcan or an SLS and I'll tune in.

Streaming is unironically and paradoxically teaching me to not feel like I have to form an opinion of the game I'm playing as I'm playing it. Too many times I've found myself feeling as though I need to justify continuing to play a game to myself. It's making me love games again.

I gave up. I ordered a used Stream Deck off of ebay so that I can use StreamController to do my Vtube Studio toggles. I'll have to go without the toggles for now, or tab into Vtube Studio to use them.

I would rather have a less secure but more modern OS than something that is literally far behind Windows in functionality. Linux is being held back by Wayland devs, they are actively sabotaging the adoption of linux by users and should be ejected from the Linux community.

Ruby and Friends 🔞 @rubyffxiv.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

I fucking hate using AI so damn much but I'm pretty much forced to because Linux documentation assumes that I already have experience with Linux and that I can figure out key codes to use ydotool.

I think my biggest motivator is knowing that everyone at work is stressed out and overworked and pissed off at our boss, not just me. I hope shit can get resolved before something breaks and the ship goes under. I just bought eyeglasses for the first time in 15 years and I'm BROKE.

000

Ruby and Friends 🔞 @rubyffxiv.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

I wonder if my biggest lack of motivation regarding making videos and streaming has to stem from the fact that I can't just impulsively do it. I play games because I can just impulse launch Hytale or Minecraft or WuWa but I can't randomly start recording a video on deep Minecraft lore.

Ruby and Friends 🔞 @rubyffxiv.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Got recommended the TWC 2006 Storm Alert song on YouTube, I'd be surprised if nobody remixed that to use in an actual game cause that shit goes hard.

It's insane that my Linux streamer adventures were ended by one narcissistic prick who thought that global shortcuts aren't needed on modern Linux. Back to the faptop for streaming I guess. I can use the PC for recordings.

000

Ruby and Friends 🔞 @rubyffxiv.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

I don't care if this is controversial to say but we should kick all of the cis men out of the Linux dev community and let trans women have free reign to do whatever we want. Wayland would get fixed within a week.

Linux tests successful, I can run Vtube Studio, control it with my iPad instead of a shitty webcam, and have it show up in OBS. Now to port my profiles and scenes from my laptop to desktop and I'm done for tonight.

Decided on the spot to work on switching my streaming setup to my Linux PC when I realized EasyEffects is basically VoiceMeeter. PipeWeaver is also like VoiceMeeter but I dislike the UI and it's somehow detecting my unplugged audio interface as a valid device.

Ruby and Friends 🔞 @rubyffxiv.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

A lot of things piss me off, but one thing that is high on that list is someone who basically ignores plot evidence in favor of their own "realistic" interpretation. And it happens the most when it's a trans allegory, like The Matrix, Amazing Digital Circus, and Control.

uh oh, I'm starting to remove obstacles to getting my streams moved to my linux desktop. This is going to be rough, but I bet it's going to be rewarding as hell. Would be nice to not have to bust out the laptop and torture it with streaming/recording/Vtube Studio/game all at once.

Apparently Vtube Studio on Android sucks balls. Well that's unfortunate. ...but I DO have Vtube studio on iOS that I bought a long time ago, and I also have an iPad A16. Soooooooooo

Ruby and Friends 🔞 @rubyffxiv.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Discovered that Vtube Studio supports Android now, so I tried thinking of ways I could do that without killing the battery or overheating the phone. Hey maybe those USB fans that I took out of a laptop stand that I saved "just in case" might actually be useful after all.

Looked into using my PC for streaming and the laptop for just the game + vtube studio but 1) I don't have a capture card and 2) I really don't want to spend hours troubleshooting potential Linux audio and video problems if they crop up. Linux audio in particular feels like it's from 2005.
