I may look like a dumb anime character on stream just coasting through life reacting to things with jokes and meme but while editing the videos I noticed a ton of things that I missed because I was more focusing on trying to be funny. I have always been a lore nerd!

A video script

1) Dr. Darling was talking about the “Service Weapon” in the recorded video. He held up a cube, which is the actual object. The cube becomes the gun, or sword, or whatever (intentionally left blank)

2) There is a lot of emphasis on “platonic solids” (that’s platonic as in Plato) i.e. cubes, pyramids, dodecahedrons, etc. which Plato believed to be what composed the “classical elements”. The story seems to also apply the antiquated beliefs of “sacred geometry” to important objects such as the Pyramid and the Service Weapon.

3) Another of Plato’s concepts that the game adapts is the Allegory of the Cave to describe how the world may look to the uneducated or ignorant. It illustrates this by having a group of people chained to a wall inside the cave and forced to look at shadows created by people behind the wall holding objects in front of a fire. The application of it in Honkai Star Rail is nonsensical, but in Control it actually refers to the fact that humanity essentially lives in a bubble (The Cave/The Room/The Known World) that occasionally lets in things from outside (Behind the Wall/Behind the Poster/Astral Plane)

Wow, I used to take 4 days to edit one video. Now I can finish one a day. First Control video (with scuffed audio and overlays) will be up this Friday and next Monday is going to be the WuWa 3.7 MSQ playthrough if I can stream it tonight. Friday = normal games, Monday = gacha games.

Surprise, the audio in the recorded VOD sucks and there are overlays all over the screen. Well nobody said the return was going to be a smooth one... It'll be fixed for next stream. I'm planning on just getting entirely rid of the overlays because they don't currently serve any purpose.

Unfortunately, this upcoming week is going to be the hardest week of my life at work. 8 work days, one day off. If I don't off myself or walk out, it will be a miracle. That does mean Wendesday and Thursday streams are looking iffy but I'll try to do something around 9pm.

I didn't realize how big of a mistake I was making by using a third-party program to remove all of my Twitch followers when I was first planning on starting over. I definitely shot myself in the foot there. Maybe I can use my existing YouTube subs to rebuild it, because I preserved my channel.

I'm going to be working overtime next week, so I may not be going live for WuWa 3.7 until next Sunday. Tomorrow, I'll try to stream Control 1 on my laptop. My attempts to get my streaming setup running on my Linux PC were mostly successful but the lack of hotkeys for Vtube Studio and OBS hurts.

Actually, what I'll do is take today and tomorrow off like I was supposed to, and spend some of that time working on getting a streaming setup on my Linux PC up and running. Then I'll go live on Sunday with the new setup. I may do a short test stream tomorrow (~1hr) to test everything before then.

Too tired to keep streaming today, and I also overestimated the amount of story left to do so I have nothing else for today lmao. Tomorrow I'll see if I can go live with a horror game. And maybe be less tired.......... I don't want to burn out immediately, so I'll take a little rest for now.

Unironically, I have so much fun streaming that I didn't even notice that nobody watched the last one. I can see why Vtubing is the default streaming meta for introverts. Tomorrow will be the rest of WuWa 3.6, and then another game if we have time. Probably a horror game. I don't know.

I think I might stream today if I'm not tired out by work. Wednesday was supposed to be finishing WuWa 3.5 MSQ and then Tower of Adversity but MSQ could be moved up to today or tomorrow. I really miss streaming, I'm so glad to be back at it again.

First stream back was an objective success even if the numbers didn't go higher than 3. The fact that I can stream using my laptop is incredible. Next one is on Wednesday! Check my channel for next week's schedule as well. I'm 100% serious about streaming this time around.
