ruby0x1 @ruby0x1.ca · 06/12/2025compression will mess this up but wall run and mantling is all we’ll need for this one I think! #gamedev #screenshotsaturday #7dfps #createwithluxe 15212
ruby0x1 @ruby0x1.ca · 06/12/2025making a little thing for #7dfps with @pomidori.studio - made in @luxeengine.com of course #screenshotsaturday #gamedev #createwithluxe 1544
ruby0x1 @ruby0x1.ca · 30/11/2025There's still things I'd like to tweak about this but I do quite like the new website for luxe... what do you think of it? ( luxeengine.com ) 0144
ruby0x1 @ruby0x1.ca · 29/11/2025My favourite ones are the classic amanita style, sometimes there’s a whole sidewalk area covered in them #photography #nature 0204
ruby0x1 @ruby0x1.ca · 29/11/2025There’s so many different kinds of mushrooms around here anywhere we go but my favourite is next post #photography #nature 0110
ruby0x1 @ruby0x1.ca · 29/11/2025There’s so much variety on every tree around here, tiny plants, mushrooms and even this wavy orange stuff which is awesome #nature 2220
ruby0x1 @ruby0x1.ca · 29/11/2025teleported in time earlier when I saw this van, the colors and tree colors were a pleasing combo 0111
ruby0x1 @ruby0x1.ca · 29/11/2025I also kinda liked how it looked with the drawn shapes behind the animated sprites too, it was neat 020
ruby0x1 @ruby0x1.ca · 29/11/2025Here's how it looks in motion (see previous post) #gamedev #screenshotsaturday 171
ruby0x1 @ruby0x1.ca · 29/11/2025I enjoyed making this tutorial for luxe game engine. go from a block grid > shapes > match 3 logic > using fibers to pause logic > animate change. Convert from prototype code > structured code > animated sprites ( more info luxeengine.com/dev-log-16 ). in motion below! #gamedev #screenshotsaturday 181

ruby0x1 @ruby0x1.ca · 23/10/2025One thing I like here is how you can put the clock text inside of your photos for your phone wallpaper (like this one photo I took of the mountains is fun) 080
ruby0x1 @ruby0x1.ca · 19/10/2025best season (from last year cos a lot of spots are still turning) 040
ruby0x1 @ruby0x1.ca · 16/10/2025Is this too many pumpkins for a pie? I might have got a few too many 0100
ruby0x1 @ruby0x1.ca · 26/09/2025Check under the material settings there for translucent domain, try the responsive AA and sort options here to control things? 120
ruby0x1 @ruby0x1.ca · 16/09/2025busy doing one of those fun tasks that involves thousands of lines of code change but if things are ok, nothing changes I took a minute to polish up a bit, feeling nicer overall. 2/several UI controls converted to new workflow ✨luxe game engine ✨ #createwithluxe #screenshotsaturday #gamedev 1275
ruby0x1 @ruby0x1.ca · 11/08/2025Not even at the fun parts of detailing and atmosphere and all that but sometimes I just enjoy the busyness of a debug scene with nice debug visualization. Shown here in the @luxeengine.com editor of course #gamedev #createwithluxe 2218
ruby0x1 @ruby0x1.ca · 08/08/2025another pass, almost done I think. I'll have a total combined count when I merge the PRs, but making solid progress on removing old workflows! super satisfying removing the old paths ✨ 160
ruby0x1 @ruby0x1.ca · 08/08/2025best part of iterative design on something as big as @luxeengine.com is the phase where you get to tear our previous iterations… not even a third of the way into removing the earlier world systems 🙌🔪 #createwithluxe #gamedev 0255
ruby0x1 @ruby0x1.ca · 02/08/2025also added the instanced meshes (boring white axis mesh, but it's working) 040
ruby0x1 @ruby0x1.ca · 02/08/2025also played around with a line module. by doing if(random() < 0.2) you can do occasional spikes in the amount of jitter e.g electricity 230
ruby0x1 @ruby0x1.ca · 02/08/2025more particle vm fun for @luxeengine.com (thread) ✨ added a ribbon renderer, nothing surprising there (side note: why only one video per post bsky!) #gamedev 1336
ruby0x1 @ruby0x1.ca · 29/07/2025now that I've flushed out a lot of weirdness, the cpu particle vm for @luxeengine.com is running nicely. this is 1k pink particles, 50k black particles and runs smoothly, no hitches on spawning that many which is good + pink took 0.0803 ms + black took 7.9005 ms #createwithluxe #gamedev 04310
ruby0x1 @ruby0x1.ca · 25/07/2025bee particles for bee-sky working on getting the initial particle engine for @luxeengine.com landed has been fun, taking code I wrote years ago and bringing it to something usable. Will make an interesting tech blog or two, cos the tech is neat #gamedev #createwithluxe 0247
ruby0x1 @ruby0x1.ca · 14/06/2025I like the color science. I use SLog3 mainly and grade myself but the other picture profiles are fine for me. I also put in my own values for film simulation (attached is a Kodak gold sim on my Sony as an example of jpg straight from camera) 120
ruby0x1 @ruby0x1.ca · 20/02/2025A movie you've watched more than six times, using only GIFs (I can't find a gif :c) 150
ruby0x1 @ruby0x1.ca · 18/02/2025Gamepad focus trail - Something I wanted to add for a while to Mossfield Origins so you can see where the focus has moved to 💫 🍂 I put it in recently and tweaked it since, but it feels good in game! #gamedev #ui #ux 5598
ruby0x1 @ruby0x1.ca · 28/01/2025if you like #cozygames and other #cozy things, and a relaxed, unstressful, snack sized, approachable city builder sounds appealing... oh have I got the thing for you to look at ✨ store.steampowered.com/app/1836400/... #indiegames #citybuilder 14414
ruby0x1 @ruby0x1.ca · 19/12/2024We don’t ask why the regular materials are in the normal buffer #gamedev 0162
ruby0x1 @ruby0x1.ca · 04/12/2024Saw infinity (approx) little lights tonight (festival of lights at VanDusen garden in Vancouver) Was awesome - they had a sensory friendly night with reduced volume, reduced flickering and reduced capacity - which we enjoyed a lot more as a family 0201
ruby0x1 @ruby0x1.ca · 02/12/2024You can never have too much debug vis I say, just one more debug vis I promise 😅 #gamedev 2608
