Imagine! To lie upon one’s daybed and gaze with complete equanimity at your 6’ 6” diameter rubber band ball, not feeling the pressure of having to maintain the *largest* collection and being able to simply enjoy a large rubber spheroid that is yours and yours alone. Such luxury!

Strangely difficult to know whether this is nuclear grade cynicism about the public’s intelligence or whether Dr Oz is really just thick as two short planks.

An opportunity to drag out one of those Twitter posts that lives rent free in my head.
Image of a Twitter post taken from Reddit.

The post is by a user named Amani and states:

Arabic poetry can be absolutely gorgeous with the way poets express these beautifully complex emotions so easily and then there is this:

Abu Hasan al-Sari (972 CE)

There is then an image of some text which says:

She has an ass below a slender waist
That oppresses us both:
It tortures me when I think about it
And tires her when she moves to stand

Same. We have twins second time around and so wanted a car which could have three car seats abreast. Which meant an SUV or a mini van, and we really didn’t need a mini van.

Not just the controls, but also what you were doing the last time you played. Every time I reopen an open world game these days, I'm in the middle of some blasted plain, with no idea how the hell I got there or what I was trying to achieve. Need a 'Previously on your game...' function.

OP is correct. Have you ever tried changing a cult membership? There’s a lot of paperwork and a bunch of penalty fees if you try to leave before the Feast of the Three Moons. Much easier to just stay where you are.

Two forms of transport exercise a mysterious power over me: sleeper trains and car ferries.

Most is the key word here. Gastly helped me establish a discretionary trust in a tax haven to hold my assets, but then they seized control of it and now I have to ask them for a weekly allowance.

FR. Current AI situation is a good example - we don’t have to let companies do society level trial and error experiments in causing cyber psychosis, but the default position for a lot of (Western) governments is we all just have to accept it.

I think it is partially just a function of timing. Smells Like Teen Spirit came out when there was still something resembling a musical monoculture, so it *could* have a huge impact. Musical audiences have been fragmenting ever since, so it’s just harder to have that level of impact now.

This is Interpol erasure. Obstacle 1 and PDA were all over the radio in 2002 and then they largely disappeared after Antics in 2004.

Tried to watch this when my youngest was small and tapped out after about 3 mins, well before any spookiness, just due to the kid character stressing me out by doing normal ass dangerous kid things (climbing, balancing). Don’t know if I could’ve survived the whole thing.

Many years ago (1999), NATOarts funded an album called Distant Early Warning which was drone-y electronic music inspired by the Distant Early Warning system in the Arctic Circle and it was indeed actually pretty fucking cool. Sadly, it doesn’t seem to be available anywhere now.

Very specifically misunderstood this being a choice between the position of the theologian John Calvin or the mathematician and alleged wizard John Dee. Not quite sure how.

Given that the South Pars oilfield is shared between Qatar and Iran, isn’t Trump saying that if Iran bombs Qatar, the US will blow up Qatar’s oil field to punish Iran?
Extract from Guardian blog, stating:

Iran had threatened to attack energy infrastructure across the Gulf region in retaliation for Israeli strikes on its largest gasfield. The South Pars field - shared by Iran and Qatar - is the biggest in the world and Iran's main source of domestic energy.

This is not a particularly sophisticated observation but this (bribing people not to build clean energy in a fossil fuel crisis) is the most expensive dumb thing I have heard in a long time.

It is unorthodox, but I've released the digital files for JANUARY for free on itch.io before our Kickstarter has even ended! That's for two reasons - the game is done, AND I think you'll see the value of this as a beautiful, tactile and physical object. itch link here: sawdustbear.itch.io/january
A mockup of the JANUARY postcard book, although the actual print copies are upgraded to be even fancier than this.
