Yesterday was a whirlwind. I watched SGF live with my coworkers at the office, so now I'm catching up on watching Twitch videos of streamer reactions from yesterday and crying. :D

Go to the store. Buy a bottle of hoisin sauce. Oh no.

Five pounds of butter on a refrigerator shelf because I keep forgetting I already have butter and buying more.

Watched Project Hail Mary last night and I can't say enough good things about it. It's charming, poignant, funny, visually stunning, and they really did the book justice. Go see it--in the theater if you can. The cinematography *deserves* the big screen. Amaze amaze amaze!! 👎👎👎

I have a wonderful former coworker that dresses 'normie' for halloween each year. Most of the time, he's in legit goth clothing and often wears fancy effect contact lenses as well. Halloween? He dresses as 'Chad Prepman', in khakis, a normal sweater, and clean shaven. Always a hilarious contrast 👻

Very, VERY specific question for Guild Wars 2 fans: When you say or read "Janet" in the niche GW2 community sense, do you picture any specific Janet or just think "haha funny typo that took hold and is now a meme"?

We said goodbye to Bunny this weekend. She joined our family as a tiny kitten weighing 12 ounces--she looked like a dust bunny, hence the name--and let us love her for 15 years. She was the best cat. 💔

A tiny grey and white kitten, standing on carpeting with her tail up in a question mark shape, looking with interest at the person holding the camera.

The same grey and white kitten 15 years later, now a dignified senior lady, loafed on a blue and green plaid blanket. You can see a bit of a blue bandage on one of her front legs.

I got the GW2 cookbook "Feasts of Tyria" and made the Koi Cakes today! (No koi were harmed) They were absolutely delicious--I can't wait to try more recipes from it.

The front cover of the Guild Wars 2 "Feasts of Tyria" cookbook.

A platter of eight "koi cakes" are in the foreground. Each cake is 4-5 inches across, they're coated with panko crumbs and golden brown from frying. The Guild Wars 2 "Feasts of Tyria" cookbook is behind the platter, open to the koi cakes recipe.

A free and democratic society cannot silence comedians because the President doesn’t like what they say. This is an attack on free speech and cannot be allowed to stand. All elected officials need to speak up and push back on this undemocratic act.

My gaming time has taken a massive hit this summer but it's been SO WORTH IT. This is a project I've been working on for 1.5 years. It's still a WIP: The sides of the roof aren't done, there's a lot of organizing to do inside, and I need 250 lbs. more of gravel on the floor, but SHE'S USABLE 😍

A greenhouse made from old salvaged windows and doors. There are multiple planters on the ground outside of it, and several decorative metal butterflies are attached to the outside.
