Happy parkrun day to one and all! Things were a little calmer than last week as 344 of us set off on RTW parkrun number 557, which also happened to be our 13th consecutive parkrun with an attendance of more than 300 – something that's not been achieved here before. www.parkrun.org.uk/royaltunbrid...

Who wants a nice, normal, ordinary Saturday morning parkrun? Not us! This weekend we don’t think there’s another wedding taking place but we couldn’t make everything simple and so instead we’re holding a pacer day. All are welcome to join us in the park for briefings from 8.50am tomorrow.
A photo of a line of people stood with their backs to us. From left to right we can see most of the numbers 45-20, denoting the time each pacer aims to finish Royal Tunbridge Wells parkrun.

Upcoming parkrun will be parkrun's 22nd birthday! 🎉 There's also a very local reason for celebration. Clue: we're expecting a good turnout of wedding themed parkrun garb - come and join the fun! We're in need of 3 more marshals. Offers of help, please, to royaltunbridgewells@parkrun.com #parkrun

Once again, we’re sorry about this week’s cancellation due to the events field closure. It took us by surprise too. We hope most of you managed to find somewhere else to visit at 9am? Do let us know.

Other parkruns are still available, so this could be an opportunity for you to try some tourism and see how the neighbours do things at Tonbridge or further afield (please note Kingdom is also cancelled this week, and we advise checking before you travel anywhere).

CANCELLATION! ❌ Unfortunately, we have to cancel this weekend’s Royal Tunbridge Wells parkrun, on 26th September. We don’t take this decision lightly, and we’re sorry for the disappointment it may cause, but an evening drone show means the events field has been closed much earlier than anticipated.

All you need to do is drop us an email letting us know if you can help before, during or after parkrun. Then we'll add you to the roster for set up, marshalling or close down. Simple. Which is good, because we need extra hands in all three of those roles this week.

A massive thank you to Tunbridge Wells Harriers for bringing us rain! We had a visit from the local running club, who took over most of the volunteering duties and gave some of us a rest. Throw in a lot of pacers and it meant an incredible 83 volunteers supported 369 of us completing a 5k this week.
