Social media is the major source of misinformation and as a result it is causing severe harm. Social media must be regulated.

With how micromanaged elections are these days, I feel as if a quick vibe swing can totally change the outcome of an election l. I think politicians like FPTP because an inopportune pic release of an opposition wearing crocs and socks can lead you to rule with a majority.

only good news in quebec is that pspp doesn’t have an absolutely majority. but getting that close on 28% of the vote is insanity. first-past-the-post is not fit for purpose.

The LNG industry is an economic loser for Canada that deepens our economy’s structural problems rather than resolving them. It’s also an active front in the private equity takeover of this country that Mark Carney is orchestrating, writes @nickgottlieb.bsky.social.

I'm okay with this. The labelling of large language models as "AI" was horrific marketing genius. This can create space so that legitimate "AI" can emerge. And we can laugh at these halfwit miscreants in the meanwhile.

In order to monetize the endangering of orcas, Mark Carney is creating a new training program so that unemployed orcas can now work with the economy, instead of against it. With this new program, orcas will be trained to tow LNG tankers down the straight. They will be paid in fish. Win-win!

Canada should be investing in electrification and clean power, not another oil pipeline. The Pacific Link pipeline will increase emissions and is a risky bet for public funds, as long-term oil demand weakens. It should not be designated as a project of national interest. 🔗 buff.ly/BbuAlfq

Soon the big brained economists might be justifying LNG as carbon credits because the LAW OF SUPPLY AND DEMAND(tm) stipulates that higher prices reduce consumption, therefore reduced emissions.
