Deathlanders must remain alert to its malevolent presence, relying on portable lightning barrriers or emergency plasm-flares for defense when it strikes.

Threats (bullet list):
At a distance:
1. Obscures vision, dampens hearing. You fail to notice what’s happening or lose track of where you are.
2. Senses you. Moves to nearby.

Nearby:
1. Fouls gear, erodes materials. An item is badly damaged—mark 1 usage.
2. Closes in. Moves to close contact.

In close contact:
1. Fully envelops you. Mark 1 usage on all your items and suffer Harm. If you can’t escape it, face the next threat.
2. Finds a gap in your mask or exposure suit. You start choking uncontrollably as it gets into your mouth and nose. Suffer Harm. If you can’t escape it or get immediate aid, suffer Harm again and face the next threat.
3. Fills your lungs, snakes into your ears and eyes. You succumb fully to the miasma and perish. See Wretch on page xx.

There are more aspects to this I think. More unknowns in making campaigns so creators are more careful and have more realistic funding goals vs hype based ones which has pros and cons.

Every company wants to brand themselves as AI‑first, and applications like LanguageTool and Grammarly are no different. I haven't checked, but I'm pretty sure you can use LanguageTool's core functionalities without any AI‑assisted writing. That being said, I recommend you check that yourself.

my post suggesting using LanguageTool for editing ttrpgs, as some people thinking I was recommending AI tools, : I am not. Every company is an AI company now (branding!). But LanguageTool, the core, has been free and open source for years, and it’s all written in Java and available on GitHub.

Working my way through the ships of the Eridani system today. The belt dwellers refer to their home as "The Reef", so many of the ships get a bit of Expanse-meets-marine life vibe. Marauding Nomad clans get a little sharky, while the biomechanical Shell & their Samudari vassals are, well, shells.

Patreon just lost their CTO/cofounder , their head of product and their head of engineering to OpenAI. And honestly, I think it can be a good thing. Their product was stalling and their software is slow, clunky and unreliable. Hoping the people taking these positions care more now.
