The Tretyakov Gallery moved Our Lady of Vladimir and Our Lady of the Don to the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in early April 2026. Patriarch Kirill announced the transfer, stating he appealed to President Putin, whom he invoked six times in a brief sermon.
