Just finished the comic and it was Okay. I definitely feel the reverence Waid has for those early Batman and Robin books. The story even ends with an allusion to the Batman and Robin spotlight cover. However, I am biased. I've got The Long Halloween on my mind and this doesn't come close to TLH.

It doesn't even line up with The Long Halloween, since Falcone is still alive. Also, Rupert Thorne (from BTAS) was a council man in the comics, not a gangster. You don't have to be a slave to continuity, but respecting it makes the comics BETTER.

Call me a stick in the mud, but I wish #WotC would switch to printing this effect as "If you cast this creature, it enters Prepared." Just to really drive home difference between the this and an ETB effect.

I hope I don't live to reget it, but I swapped out Korozda Gorgon for Lotleth Troll in my Ravnica Cube. KG is REALLY Awkward for a sign-post uncommon. But I think "LOL-Troll" is not too strong in a Limited Environment. (It's must better in constructed)

This LOOKS really fun. After Ravnica got hammered during War of the Spark, I wished that the City would go through a Super Hero phase, so this is a Heroic version of Massacre Girl. But the effect is really bland.

One of my fav anime is Kino's Journey, and they have one episode where they visit a village established by a retired traveler. They have a museum dedicated to the founder which includes a small trowel. The Museum guide says it was so the traveler could plant flowers where ever they went.
