So how long before Wales gets the "Now is not the time" "Any deal is off the table" etc, etc, treatment Scotland has for years ? The path is well trodden, look forward to seeing the same principles applied to Wales proving England doesn`t want to share, just take and keep for itself

I have no means of testing, evaluating or assessing any of the AI stuff it, its now on my computer without my consent, and I`m having to remove it where I can. I have to assume the worst, the rest is noise.

Not interested in any of it, except those stopping it. I can`t, so I`m complicit. I`m part of a nation that is actively failing to stop this, therefore we are allowing it, everything else is noise. Time for people to own thier/our failure to stop it.

When Palestinians stop being killed come back and talk to me. Until then I`ll just watch for who is sending in the forces necessary to stop Israelis slaughtering Palestinians, everything else is just complicity.

Can you imagine the owners of non league clubs or non premier league club owners getting that kind of access ? Two tier England in operation again. We all know what's coming the "to big to fail" fudge, and I don`t even follow football but can see the fix coming from miles away..

She`s gone radio silent, hasn`t confirmed if she lives in Scotland or not, I think the silence is very telling. Either that or she is just off Bluesky right now.

Same here was never prouder of my son than when he decked a kid for bullying someone with Down`s syndrome, apparently his teacher only saw the bully "trip over himself", kudos to both my son and his very wise female teacher.

Is any of this relevant whilst Palestinians are being killed every day for 100 years ? Strikes me as per usual UK media and chatterati are looking for anything and everything as a distraction rather than focus directly on UK inaction and complicity in the Genocide Israel is undertaking.
000
Roy Bennett @roybennett.bsky.social · 7h
Well lets face it, no one is else is doing anything else except navel gazing are they ? This pile on was entirely predictable, anything to deflect from the sheer lack of any meaningful action to stop the killing of Palestinians.

Roy Bennett @roybennett.bsky.social · 7h
The chattering media making more irrelevant noise whilst yet more Palestinians keep being killed every day, 100 years of this and UK journalists just ignore it, preferring to attack Palestinian supporters like this, other than attack the UK Govt being openly complicit in said genocide for decades 🙄

The North sea is a sunset industry, as is oil globally, being from an ex mining community I see all the signs of a declining resource, electrification via renewables will wipe it out within a decade, its only good for chemical feedstocks for plastics, etc and even that has its end horizon in sight

Roy Bennett @roybennett.bsky.social · 20h
I`m tired now, I doubt I will or can say anything that would help you see a different Scotland than one owned and controlled by England, I respect your view and wish you well. Out of interest do you mind me asking how old you are ?

The simple test of whether Scotland would thrive or not is how unwilling England is willing to let it go or allow it control over key economic levers, it dare not, its that simple. It holds it close because without it is much weaker, England is parasitic in its nature, its how its built.

Roy Bennett @roybennett.bsky.social · 20h
with a strong rising economy, attracting businesses and jobs here from England and elsewhere. Scotland would be a powerhouse akin to Norway, Denmark, Finland etc. Sadly in 2014 fear and lies ruled the day, as I knew they probably would.

Roy Bennett @roybennett.bsky.social · 20h
I have no illusions that the first decade post indy would be easy, however it would be no harder than what's been inflicted on it over the last 20 years, had indy been taken in 2014, we would be coming out of that period, highly likely back in the single market,

Roy Bennett @roybennett.bsky.social · 20h
We are over ten years here now and our biggest fear is watching Scotland slowly be assimilated into English culture, by the time it realises the damage that has occurred it will be way to late to recover, ever.
100
Roy Bennett @roybennett.bsky.social · 20h
It does puzzle me why so many Scots don`t recognise how much stronger they are than England in so many ways, the cultural differences are core values, they couldn`t be more fundamentally different. We came here to give our son the best chance in life we could, and he is thriving.

Roy Bennett @roybennett.bsky.social · 20h
Add to that the simple basic principle every citizen has to have the right to determine thier own future. Its simple common respect. Any nation that is denied that right by its neighbour is only denied it because they are a clear threat to those who oppose others having that right.

Roy Bennett @roybennett.bsky.social · 20h
would challenge every narrative England has used to control and discipline its population for the last century. An independent renaissance Scotland threatens the grip the class system has in England.
100
Roy Bennett @roybennett.bsky.social · 20h
its about preventing the hegemony of the English establishment from being questioned, and a thriving, prosperous, progressive Scotland with abundant cheap energy, socially progressive politics and sound mixed economy
100
Roy Bennett @roybennett.bsky.social · 20h
I have long understood England cannot afford to have a nation next door that treats its citizens in a completely different manner to how its treats its own citizens. None of this is about what is good for Scotland, its about protecting England from competition,
100
Roy Bennett @roybennett.bsky.social · 20h
having been born and lived in England for decades it was crystal clear Scotland would not be allowed to take full control of its affairs, the choices it would then be free to make would very quickly create a clear contrast between England and Scotland.
100
Roy Bennett @roybennett.bsky.social · 20h
I predicted they would even as the promise was being made. Having worked in positions where I understand the impact of power devolved is power reserved I could see very clearly why Scotland is restricted in its choices, I told everyone the Vow wasn`t worth the paper it was written on, I knew why
100
Roy Bennett @roybennett.bsky.social · 20h
🧵 Cleverer thinking gets you nowhere without the power to make different choices. I`m ex CEGB, I watched how Scotland`s energy has been systematically and strategically abused for decades, it was no surprise to me when Westminster reversed its decision to devolve energy policy to it.

Roy Bennett @roybennett.bsky.social · 21h
You stick to your views, I`m not going to mock them. I have ex military in the family, I was tutored at length in why Scotland is so valuable strategically speaking and the power it has. I haven`t any more time to exchange views / perspectives with you, so go well. Genuinely, have a great day, bye

Roy Bennett @roybennett.bsky.social · 21h
Then turned round and misrepresented back to anyone who dares to contradict the English centric narrative of the Scots, living here and comparing the two objectively gives one a different more balanced perspective, you may disagree, but other opposing perspectives to yours are equally as valid.
010
Roy Bennett @roybennett.bsky.social · 21h
Repeating it verbatim doesn`t give it any truth or real substance, no matter how many times you or others trot it out. Being English helps me see more clearly how Scotland's choices and preferences are reframed, relabelled, and diminished to attempt to reduce thier validity.

Roy Bennett @roybennett.bsky.social · 21h
🧵I never claimed to be educating anyone. Where is your real world evidence of that resentment ? Trying to turn round legitimate concerns over decision making control and trying to relabel them "resentment" is a long held trope of the English establishment, it holds no truth anymore.

British Vanguard-class submarines must travel to Kings Bay to have the un-warheaded missiles loaded, swapped, or serviced.

• Details: All deep maintenance, periodic refurbishment, and in-service technical support of the actual missile bodies are legally handled under license by the US Department of Defense and the manufacturer, Lockheed Martin.

The UK does not own its nuclear missiles; instead, it leases rights to a shared pool of 58 missile bodies with the United States. • Primary Facility: Strategic Weapons Facility Atlantic at the Kings Bay Submarine Base in Georgia, USA.

🧵 🤣You mean the London Laundromat for dirty money and American nuclear missiles leased from the US that it doesn`t actually own ? 🤣 Yeah right, the kind of "strength" that can`t even own its own launch platform www.youtube.com/watch?v=gyk1...

If you can`t work out the strategic strengths the Celtic alliance would have on your own, then you have a strange understanding of England's actual strength, which on its own is far less than it has now. I`m not here to educate you

"Whilst it is reasonable to want the world to work that way, it doesn’t". Wrong 99% of nations on the planet work exactly that way. Independence is normal, England trapped itself, and us with it, it drove the car off the cliff and now you expect the passengers to drown with it, that's ridiculous
000
Roy Bennett @roybennett.bsky.social · 22h
The McCrone report and the way it was handled confirms the long term future of the 3 satellite nations is consistently suborned to ensure England gets what it wants first and always.

Roy Bennett @roybennett.bsky.social · 22h
This perspective gained further traction after former Labour Chancellor Denis Healey admitted in a 2013 interview that Westminster did underplay the value of the oil due to the threat of nationalism.
100
Roy Bennett @roybennett.bsky.social · 22h
• The Cover-Up Claims: Scottish nationalists and critics argue that successive UK governments deliberately suppressed the report to undermine the "It's Scotland's oil" campaign, downplay Scotland's economic viability, and curb momentum for Scottish independence.
