At #Lab26, we made the case for better osteoporosis care and universal access to Fracture Liaison Services. We need to make sure the Government's promise to offer FLS across the UK becomes a reality.

Liverpool is the largest city in England without a Fracture Liaison Service (FLS). During #Lab26, we made the case to @yvettecooper-mp.bsky.social & @damedianajohnson.bsky.social for universal FLS access. Where you live shouldn’t determine the care you get after a broken bone.

That’s a wrap on #Lab26! 👋 Our staff and volunteers spent the week in Liverpool meeting politicians, partners and organisations to keep osteoporosis and better fracture care on the agenda. We’re campaigning for universal access to Fracture Liaison Services. ❤️

Our volunteer Corinne spoke to Health Secretary @yvettecooper-mp.bsky.social at #Lab26, reminding her of Labour’s pre-election pledge to roll out osteoporosis early diagnosis clinics across England. The Health Secretary promised to look into what’s blocking progress. We look forward to hearing more.

As autumn approaches, keep your bones healthy by staying active – whether that’s a crisp walk outdoors or moving at home. 🍂 A balanced diet, including calcium and vitamin D, also supports bone health. Osteocare from our partners Vitabiotics includes both. #Osteocare

The NHS’s own commissioned audit has found around 10,000 people a year suffer a hip fracture after missing out on bone-strengthening treatment following an earlier fracture. @damedianajohnson.bsky.social, the evidence is clear. We now need a plan to deliver universal osteoporosis services by 2030.
