When I was six, and I got into regular beef with my kindergarten teacher over things like being forced to play on the "girl" side of the room with the baby dolls and kitchen set (I've never wanted to be "mommy"), being punished for knowing my alphabet and correcting her when I knew she was wrong.

Yup. I refuse to pay office prices for glasses, it's a losing game. I love the glasses we get from them and I count it as a personal win to have converted my dad to them as well. He was blown away at how much he saved. Literally hundreds of dollars less.

Well said, husband. As 50 looms, I can honestly say I have never once regretted my decision not to have kids. As you say, even if all other concerns were addressed, we can't afford to give them the opportunities they'd deserve. Love doesn't pay for camp and college. Plus, I just don't want to. 🤷🏽‍♀️
