These prints are the result of a long fascination with strange creatures of the deep. They appear otherworldly and delicate, yet they are surprisingly resilient and sometimes even dangerous, and have an ancient history, drifting through the oceans for hundreds of millions of years.

The jellyfish have returned… Some of you may remember these cyanotypes from their first release. After a little time away, they’re now returning to my shop! Just to let you know, I only made six of each print, and several of them have already been sold. 🪼 shop.rowanclair.com 🪼

Banco de Gaia - Last Train to Lhasa Indescribably good. A journey in itself. Although not the first time I heard it, its presence on Sasha & John Digweed's Northern Exposure mix is pretty mindblowing. I highly recommend it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPga...

P-MODEL - Art Mania Returning to Hirasawa's origins, I've had a deep fascination with this track for a long time, so much so that many years ago before I knew any Japanese I spent hours trying to translate the lyrics... There is something kind of hypnotic about it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=elG7...

Happy 13th anniversary to Final Fantasy XIV! This is just a handful of the pieces of art I made inspired by the game over the years, from 2019-2023, as many as I could fit in a post on here. You can see the progress I made in that time!

ROWAN @rowanclair.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

For the last few years I've shifted towards putting my energy into original artwork again and building up my career as an artist, but I truly don't think this would have been possible without FFXIV. I'm immensely grateful for it, and I'm looking forward to many more years of its existence.

ROWAN @rowanclair.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

Gradually, I started making art again after barely making anything for several years, because I was so passionate about it that I just HAD to. It helped me to rebuild myself. And I know there are thousands of other people whose lives were changed by this game and its community too.

ROWAN @rowanclair.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

It was there with me during a very long difficult period in my life and it was engaging with this fantastic world that slowly, bit by bit, drew me out of it into a much, much better place. Not only because of the game itself, but also because of the real people I met and connected with through it.

ROWAN @rowanclair.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

In 2013 this world took me in and showed me so many things. It created a universe so full of life and history, taking inspiration from real world places, people, culture, animals, plants, even food and drink, which are all woven together into something entirely new to discover and explore.

I've finally framed the print I bought from @rowanclair.bsky.social and I'm utterly hypnotised by it. The print quality is amazing. Rowan has also just released a beautiful new print series, which I'd recommend checking out.

A framed print sitting on a shelf. The print is by @rowanclair, depicting a dark forest with puddles in the foreground, reflecting a golden city scape.

Some of you may remember this series from when I first made it - but it's taken me some time to be able to give them the presentation they deserve and to better articulate my thoughts about them. I'm really glad I decided to revisit them and I'm very proud of how they look as prints too.
