Just to say, we had to make another DNAR decision again. Again we thought of your video. The doctor seemed to sigh with relief when we said we knew the risks and odds of resuscitation, so he didn't need to explain them. And we all came to the same conclusion. So thank you again ❤️.

Reading The Times report on speculated PIP cuts, I’m struck by not only how many people will lose vital support but how much we are already degraded to qualify. Have a stranger ask you how you wash “below the waist” and then tell us how easy it is to claim disability benefits.

Needing help to wash your hair or your body below the waist would not meet the new threshold while needing help to wash your upper body would. Needing help going to the lavatory is above the threshold, but needing reminding to go would fall below it. Needing prompting to engage with other people face to face would not meet the new test; needing help to do so would.

I had a great glass kiln firing with no sacrifices to the Kiln Gods! Some will be made into jewellery, some into ornaments. Once I've done that I will photograph them & make them available. I just got told to "get a job" by a troll because I mentioned I was on PIP on a thread. The sheer joy in telling them I actually had one & was self-employed was fab! 😂 PIP is *not* an out of work benefit, it covers the extra costs that disability brings of which there can be many.

Reducing or taking away PIP is literally going to deprived some people of the means to get to work that they so wish to be done. It's not an out of work benefit. Cutting it is cruel and counterproductive.

Oh I do hope this is the case, as I have a good MP whom I've talked with several times about disability issues. Who got my PIP reduction sorted & tried to do a spoken question for me to Liz Kendall. I know he'd be good in his approach.

If you’re drawn to a politician because they promise to be cruel to Muslims or Jews or immigrants or gays or transgender people etc, the least you should do - the absolute, bare bones, still morally vacuous least - is ask yourself whether they’re likely to stop at the group you want to see targeted.

I'm assuming changes will come on review though, I just had mine thankfully. Tho this time I had to fight. For 10 years I had enhanced mobility. Last review it was reduced to standard! My MP intervened & on MR it went back up. Interesting it happened all of a sudden with change of government!

As a result we'll probably end up with a stronger Reform party which will mess up the country even more. The only way I'd vote Labour again is for my very good MP (who I made him work hard for my vote!). I'm politically homeless.

He doesn't care, PIP is nothing to do with being out of work, it's to cover the costs of gaining more independence with your disability and mobility. Cut PIP and you cut the ability of disabled people to get to jobs they already have! Disgusting. Reeves is the new Osborne.

Rachel Reeves during the election ruled out a wealth tax on the super rich as she said their spending plans didn't need the money. People with extreme disabilities unfit to work this Labour Government think are apparently not in need of the money. It's sick.

*Work in progress* I think I'm finally getting nearer to doing what I wish to do with ceramic jewellery. These were my first goes with using underglaze, and after their bisque firing. They now need covering in clear glaze, and another firing, I've yet to learn that bit!

Regular reminder that there is no reason Labour has to “eye billions of pounds in welfare and other cuts”. It’s more than possible to raise cash with targeted wealth taxes. Austerity is a choice and it’s a choice no matter what colour party is in power.

I will cope just about as I have my husband. It will restrict my mobility independence greatly though, and I won't be able to pay for some healthcare and therapies that I need, or specialist clothes/shoes I need. But I worry about people who aren't as lucky as me. This government worries me.

I wonder what these welfare cuts are going to be, & how Draconian? Are they going to click that PIP is also an in-work benefit? If you reduce it you could be actually stopping people from getting to jobs they already have? Taking away motability cars, bus passes etc, some electric wheelchairs etc.

The video that helped my head when a DNAR was put on my father. He was in a prolonged MCS from burst brain aneurysm, just out of vegetative state, expected to be permanent. Such states are beyond vile for the family, it's not life, it not death. I don't wish the pain of it on my worst enemies.
