Rovertronic @rovertronic.com · 20/06/2026The main downside is sliding off the edge of cliffs instead of just standing over them like you would in a 2D platformer. 110
Rovertronic @rovertronic.com · 20/06/2026It's not just a cylinder collider, though. It's just based on contact points from a cylinder. It uses those points to raycast down to. That's why I called it a "hybrid system." 010

Rovertronic @rovertronic.com · 12/06/2026I hate how pill colliders for platformers are industry standard. In my opinion, the player's origin point should never sag below the floor. So, I've devised my own Godot "Cylinder-based Footing" character controller that combines the benefits of both capsules & cylinders. 56113
Rovertronic @rovertronic.com · 22/05/2026Modding Ocarina of Time feels like New Game +. It's a completely different engine (No, it was never forked from SM64), so you have to spend time learning another game's systems. However, F3D & C programming knowledge carries over from Mario 64, so you're not a total noob either. 0170
Rovertronic @rovertronic.com · 20/05/2026Navi is Ralsei. As for Susie, I'm not 100% sure... Possibly Ganondorf, if you want to interpret him as the Dragon, and the outlier in the prophecy. Which potentially makes Zelda fit into the role of Noelle, as a potential 2nd hero. This AU is definitely "Cart-Before-Horse'd" so I can't say for sure. 000

Rovertronic @rovertronic.com · 25/04/2026Mario's Modules 2 has finally been released. Much time and effort have been poured into this project, and I couldn't be happier to share it with all of you. Have fun! 😁 3436137
Rovertronic @rovertronic.com · 18/04/2026For years, we've mercilessly ridiculed flat earthers. But today, indisputable evidence has finally come to light. The firmament. The foundation. The four corners. The four pillars and the pyramid. It's all real, and always has been. This changes everything. 59132

Rovertronic @rovertronic.com · 03/02/2026has it ever occurred to anyone that they probably had to hire literal electricians to build great bay temple? like "oh yeah, we need to draft up a circuit blueprint for the light fixtures in this temple" 0181
Rovertronic @rovertronic.com · 22/01/2026In all fairness, I've hacked both games, and OOT's engine & systems are a lot cleaner. But yeah, a lot of if-else nonsense and redundancy too. One example of redundancy is that every enemy and boss in the game copy and pastes the damage table too. Very annoying. 040
