stupid worthless idiot bird @roundmola.bsky.social · 24/02/2025Monkeybone (2001) - first time viewing Conversely, my roommate was too worried about how cringe this would be if I watched it. Impressive sets and I did laugh some despite the main set up of the plot being genuinely pretty heartbreaking. 000
stupid worthless idiot bird @roundmola.bsky.social · 24/02/2025Scooby-Doo (2002) - rewatch For the most part, it holds up. Really fun movie! I'm glad it was as good as I remembered otherwise I would have been very embarrassed convincing my roommate to watch it. 110
stupid worthless idiot bird @roundmola.bsky.social · 24/02/2025... I've been trying to do these in the order of completion but I realized I forgot a few things. Oops! 100
stupid worthless idiot bird @roundmola.bsky.social · 24/02/2025Scooby-Doo: Mystery Incorporated (2010-2013) - first time viewing I don't think I have anything groundbreaking to say but this was a great show with solid interpretations of the cast. Truly how to do a reboot of a beloved property. 100
stupid worthless idiot bird @roundmola.bsky.social · 24/02/2025Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? (1962) - first time viewing I went in knowing the plot and the final reveal but it didn't make it any less enjoyable (and I still got pretty emotional.) Embarassingly, the first film I've seen with Davis and Crawford and they truly are electric!! I understand now. 100
stupid worthless idiot bird @roundmola.bsky.social · 24/02/2025My Cousin Vinny (1992) - first time viewing Great movie! Great cast! Marisa Tomei deserved that best actress win! Had a lot of elements that appealed to me specifically. 100
stupid worthless idiot bird @roundmola.bsky.social · 24/02/2025Disco Elysium (2019) - replay DE is probably in my top 5 games of all time, if not top 3. I'm not exaggerating when I say I think it's changed me as a person. And I'm still changing. Even in the year or so since I originally played it, I feel like I was a different person compared to who I am now. 110
stupid worthless idiot bird @roundmola.bsky.social · 17/02/2025henry matisse's the dance is machida-kun no sekai by yuki ando is true stories directed by david byrne. there's more of course but I need to ruminate 010
stupid worthless idiot bird @roundmola.bsky.social · 29/01/2025Scooby-Doo and the Witch's Ghost (1999) - rewatch This one I watched much less frequently as a kid. Still entertaining, origin of the Hex Girls, all that. Funniest part was Velma rizzing up Ravencroft and him being really awkward and confused in response. 100
stupid worthless idiot bird @roundmola.bsky.social · 29/01/2025Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island (1998) - rewatch A genuine favorite, and holds up well for the most part. The Mystery Gang are well-written for what length the movie has. The most iconic music in the franchise outside of the actual theme song. Genuinely frightening animation. What's not to love? 110
stupid worthless idiot bird @roundmola.bsky.social · 29/01/2025Lust in the Dust (1984) - first time viewing The very beginning and very ending were pretty strong but the middle was admittedly a bit of a slog with a few high points peppered in here and there. Could have been a bit more zany imo. 100
stupid worthless idiot bird @roundmola.bsky.social · 29/01/2025La Cage aux Folles (1978) - first time viewing Sorry to be that guy but I prefer the changes The Birdcage ended up making. I was genuinely surprised how the remake was so beat-by-beat, even though I'd been told beforehand! Michel Serrault's little shrieks were fantastic I have to say. 100
stupid worthless idiot bird @roundmola.bsky.social · 29/01/2025Ghost World (2001) - first time viewing I'm always intrigued by films of this genre, I never really end up enjoying them quite as much as I'd like I think. It wasn't bad but the second-hand embarrassment in the back half was killing me a bit, even if it was definitely necessary. 100
stupid worthless idiot bird @roundmola.bsky.social · 29/01/2025Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders (2000) - first time viewing? I don't remember whether or not I've watched this one as a kid, nothing felt super familiar to me. Not a bad movie but definitely not the best, which we all know which one that is... I appreciated Crystal as a character. 100
stupid worthless idiot bird @roundmola.bsky.social · 29/01/2025Detective Conan: The Million-dollar Pentagram (2024) - first time viewing Solid Conan movie, though not my favorite. Hijiri was quite likeable! I think the biggest impact this movie has is the (in)famous reveal, which I was a big fan of since it suits the characters sibling-like dynamic. 100

stupid worthless idiot bird @roundmola.bsky.social · 19/01/2025Chicago (2002) - rewatch Pacing was way more bizarre than I'd remembered it. Good music though and I liked the juxtaposition of reality vs the musical numbers. 100
stupid worthless idiot bird @roundmola.bsky.social · 16/01/2025The finale of my 2024 media thread will be twin peaks, as we are currently finishing the return. My time with his works was only a short few months and I usually don't find celebrity deaths to reach me particularly, but his art has resonated in such a way that I feel a sense of emptiness. 010
stupid worthless idiot bird @roundmola.bsky.social · 16/01/2025Some Like it Hot (1959) - first time viewing I found it very cute! I was generally more interested in what Jerry had going on with Osgood but I like that Sugar and Joe both being a bit... idk underhanded maybe. Idk how to put it. Mark that down for a good romcom! 210
stupid worthless idiot bird @roundmola.bsky.social · 13/01/2025Valley Girl (1983) - first time viewing i wouldnt call it great but it wasn't bad, values dissonance and all that. fantastic soundtrack as its known for. so my hunt for truly great romcoms continues 100

stupid worthless idiot bird @roundmola.bsky.social · 30/12/2024I don't know if it was going to be in Nick Knacks proper since I don't know offhand if it ever aired on daytime nickelodeon but I really hope you get to cover I Love Lucy with how important of a show it was. 000

stupid worthless idiot bird @roundmola.bsky.social · 27/12/2024Knives Out (2019) - rewatch In hindsight knowing the answer to the mystery going in made it a little obvious (I really didn't know my first watch) but either way I still love it. The bookends with the mug? still iconic. 010
stupid worthless idiot bird @roundmola.bsky.social · 26/12/2024this was a raffle prize please note I do not normally draw #nge art. Anyways I didn't wanna draw rei's plugsuit or school uniform and I found a fun Christmas figure of her and drew that. 010
stupid worthless idiot bird @roundmola.bsky.social · 25/12/2024yesterday as i was leaving work an old guy ringing the salvation army bell wished me merry Christmas and it would've left off as a normal social interaction but he asked if the gift bag I was holding was "for my boyfriend" and i got mad and panicked and just said "I'm gay" and ran out the door 010
stupid worthless idiot bird @roundmola.bsky.social · 23/12/2024Conclave (2024) - first time viewing Bit of a slow start for me at least but once the ball was rolling I was hooked. Shout-out to the fact I hadn't seen any major spoilers until after I watched it and came across one randomly. 100
stupid worthless idiot bird @roundmola.bsky.social · 23/12/2024He-Man & She-ra: A Christmas Special (1985) - first time viewing Double feature this year with the previous! They paired well together. It was also my first introduction for the franchise so there were a lot of unexpected things for me that were actually normal for the two series, apparently. 100
stupid worthless idiot bird @roundmola.bsky.social · 23/12/2024Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer (2000) - repeat viewing The more people I force to watch this the better. Genuinely insane the more you think about it. 100
stupid worthless idiot bird @roundmola.bsky.social · 20/12/2024gonna get like 20 bingos marking this off 000
stupid worthless idiot bird @roundmola.bsky.social · 20/12/2024Eraserhead (1977) - first time viewing visceral imagery and genuinely astonishing effects for the budget. ik it was about his feelings about fatherhood/impending fatherhood and all but what would have compelled me more would be the feelings from the pov of the person carrying the child. so it goes! 100
stupid worthless idiot bird @roundmola.bsky.social · 20/12/2024Blue Velvet (1986) - first time viewing not bad at all but it mostly just made me want to watch twin peaks (we are currently watching twin peaks.) great performances from the cast, particularly isabella rossellini and dennis hopper. 100
stupid worthless idiot bird @roundmola.bsky.social · 20/12/2024Mulholland Drive (2001) - first time viewing writing this with the hindsight of having almost exclusively watched lynch's work these past few weeks, definitely my favorite of his films so far. compellingly weaved together, and it went in directions i did not anticipate going in blind. 100
