My End of Year video is on the "Golden Age of Indie RPGs," from roughly 2010 to 2025. I start with Apocalypse World's release, work through the Google+ Era, and follow design lineages and historical events that have impacted the hobby up through 2025.

@noizangel.bsky.social is a terrible (great) influence in that today I've found myself looking at some scholarly citations for a digital symposium. I've submitted my proposal, and yes, it'll be a preview of this article. 🧵 for some lapsed academic chatter and feelings.

That sounds like good advice. Normally I follow the chronology on things (like O'Brian's 20-book series), but maybe I'll jumble it up a bit.

One more time with a feeling. the links should work now! I'm so sorry, I don't know why they were being strange before or why it went straight into creating the sale as a coupon when I don't recall toggling that option. But the sale should be live now! itch.io/s/148214/buy...

I'll get to it soon! I read Good Omens and enjoyed it immensely, and as far as I understand it, the bits about that work that I enjoyed in particular were from Pratchett.

I unearthed my 2012 Kindle and put the whole of Discworld in it. Never read it before, seems like a fun romp. Got tired of remembering how to use Calibre so I quit for the night, but I should stuff Aubrey-Maturin in there as well.

For the cover, @thecinnaminion.bsky.social painted the individual elements by hand, then scanned and assembled them for the cover so it would look nice in different aspect ratios!

The proliferation of fake PWD IDs to get discounts at restaurants is a real problem. But the solution is not to make cringe edgelord jokes about PWD that shows you have zero sympathy for PWDs as a brand. 1/2

I'm in this limbo where I want to start something new, like a book, but I feel like I'm waiting for something first or something is coming up kinda soon so I don't want to start anything, and so on. Anyway, I want to eat a lot of noodles these days.

Love this series. I started reading Aubrey-Maturin because of it as well, and love that one, too.

The question I desire to ask Musk apologists defending his nazi salute as "not a nazi salute, it's just taken out of context," is: What if it really WAS a nazi salute, would you decry him then? If he blatantly identifies himself as one, what then?

So refreshing to look at my feed and find it in chronological order. That hasn't been normal since like... 2010 or something.

I like that godzilla is possibly holding the spriggan keychain up.

Heeey, Lyn and I got this fun fanart of our old AU fic! This fandom is the best, ngl I sat here reading the whole thing again. How nostalgic. Maybe I'll do a fourth watch of PacRim, too.
