the reason why necromancy is bad is because youre creating a mimicry of life through puppeting the image of a dead person. CGI or AI replicas of dead people are doing exactly the same thing as necromancy, just less smelly. in this essay

when you recreate someone's image without their spirit present, you're imposing your will on their personhood and molding them into whatever you want them to be without them having any ability to save themselves from whatever you say they are. I hate this fucking trend.

drawing telephone wires was.. humbling www.simkaye.com/product/quet...

Photo of a giclée art print on a wood surface. The illustration depicts a quetzalcoatlus perched on telephone wires among a flock of crows.

A screenshot of the previous illustration as a WIP in Procreate. Lots of perspective lines have been drawn, helping me in constructing the telephone wires.

having a throuple for a 3 act story is so fun tbh. a lot of romances fizzle to repetition during the second act or they just fight/separate the whole time to keep things spicy. if you have a throuple then the couple has a whole second act to initiate a second romance

I could've never imagined working with such a spectacular & skilled crew, making something so gruesome & beautiful, which is what I love from the horror genre. So proud of our team & cast. And to those waiting, hope you enjoy, or at the very least, hope it makes you flinch. #knightsofguinevere

Old drawings but I don't think I've posted them on here: AU where Rin kidnapped Eiden, Quincy came to save him but Rin's curse spread through Eiden's body and possessed him

Quincy tries to reach out to Eiden by putting his hand on his cheek
Quincy: Eiden.
Eiden's stare is empty
He raises his arm and fire magic at Quincy and get him away from him.
Quincy's arm is badly injured.
Quincy realizes Eiden who has always been empty of any magic essence is now able to attack him with it.
Quincy: Magic...?

Quincy was able to make Eiden snap out of it but was badly hurt in the process. He fell to the ground while Eiden (back to his normal self) runs towards him.
Eiden: Quincy!!
Eiden crouches on top of Quincy.
Eiden: Quincy, you---
Eiden: !
Eiden notices Quincy isn't moving.
Eiden: Quincy...?
Eiden sees more and more blood oozing out of Quincy.
Eiden is terrified.

commission for @ariestrash.bsky.social, his yuan-ti Severa! thank you for commissioning me 💜 #art

a thighs-up portrait of a person standing in water as gray, lifeless hands stretch out from under the surface trying to grasp them. the person appears to be in her thirties, is lean in build, has light skin, long straight dark brown hair and piercing jade eyes. there are patches of small purple snake scales covering some parts of her body: the outside of her arms, her stomach, forehead and cheekbones. she has numerous scars. there are pink burn scars on the left side of her body, covering her left eye, neck and arm, getting progressively darker closer to the fingers. her left breast is missing, with a large diagonal scar going through her pectoral muscle. she is dressed in a white shirt, open in the front and with the sleeves rolled up, and high-waisted form-fitting pants. she is looking right at the viewer with her chin slightly lifted, a small confident smile on her lips. she is standing relaxed in the water, completely unbothered by the hands grabbing at her arms and the bottom of her shirt. behind her there is a pale gray-orange cloudy sky, indicating an early misty morning.

A monochrome bust of a client's OC named Margaret, a woman with wavy hair partly braided at the front, sunglasses sitting on top of her head, and large hoop earrings. The accent color is yellow, in the blouse, earrings, and partly in the sunglasses, as well as in the circle graphic background.

LAST BIG COMM THE BIG BOY COMM OF THE BATCH!!!!!! featuring a very lovely and very haunted warrior named Velouria!!! 🥀🗡 #art #commission #dnd

A full-body panel illustration of a client's dnd character, a reborn undead woman named Velouria. She has unnaturally pale skin, shoulder-length white hair, and pinkish eyes with an iridescent blue hue; she is wearing a knee-length red gown with black long sleeves and a white cravat, black armor with gold trim over her arms and legs, and a billowing black cloak. She is sitting on a cliff's edge at sunset and holding an iridescent pink-and-blue rose, wistfully watching its petals blow past her; the top part of her cloak is burning up into orange flames (along with a few rose petals), while the underside melds into the background beyond the panel, a black nighttime starscape.
